Whats the most useless kitchen item you`ve bought?

Options
This is sort of a follow on from the other kitchen thread.I have a list including:
A teabag squeezer - more trouble than it was worth!
A meat tenderizer - never buy steak.
A thing thats made of metal thats shaped like a triangle that hangs over the rim , its for putting in the bottom of a pie before the pastry goes in, then you put the filling in, the top on and bake. The idea is to get the perfect first slice out of the said pie!
and thats just a few of them!
Anybody else got ant useless objects? can`t say my hubby cos he does wash up.

An electric juicer was a bit of a mistake. It did make fabulous juice from fruit & veg - but it took ages to disassemble, wash and put back together. And it had to be washed after every use and none of the components were dishwasher safe. It was very good at gathering dust though. In the end it was donated to sis, and I now just eat the fruit/veg.
  • cappucino frother. What a pile of kak!

Ditto. Mine was dishwasher friendly but as I haven't got a rotten dishwasher it was useless. Three minutes of 'good' and half an hour of 'bloody hell'! Sold it via work intranet pdq.

Oh.. and electric slicer for bread. And electric egg boiler.

  • The yoghurt maker
    The ice cream maker
    The pasty press

Please someone keep me away from kitchen gadget shops....
  • A slow cooker. It is a waste of space. cooking low on the hob does exactly the same job. I intend to freecycle mine asap.

Not sure about the most useless but the most useful thing i;ve got is a strange plastic thing that lifts the lid ever so slightly on tight jars to let a bit of air out and then opening them is a doddle
