Snapped yesterday in a little place called Winnington in Cheshire:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=winnington&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=19.406082,39.375&ie=UTF8&ll=53.26624,-2.533164&spn=0.019122,0.038452&z=15
Look at the size of the place, now bear in mind that there are over 15 Estate or letting agents on the Solway Road area.
But Coulby seem to be the guys in the know.

Time to jump in! Pent up demand! Off to the bank...
can't get a mortgage for anything like the amount needed to buy a house...
despite having a big deposit...
So no sale here then.0 -
PMSL.
Check their quote at the bottom... "Making all the right moves".
I might invest in shares in tippex.0 -
Disgraceful notice... and they wonder why estate agents get a bad rep.0

Agents get a bad rep because so many of them are lying conniving two faced cheating scum bags. I can live with their silly marketing.0

I'm afraid marketing is the way of life now but better to call it what it really is these days - SPIN.
I wonder how many of us really think about these words?
There's nothing wrong with good marketing - its' original purpose was to provide information about products or services so we could be informed and yes of course it would be written in a 'beneficial' way to the organisation paying for it. But way back when I was just little :rotfl: I remember sitting a GCE exam called 'Use of English' where EXACTLY this stuff was studied and we learnt about how words can be used to create an end result. SOme of it was actually quite clever.
The problem seems to be that these days outright lies seem to have become acceptable under the 'guise' of marketing and we call it 'spin'.
If we were to speak up and say we reject being lied to on an ongoing basis perhaps those that 'market'; or 'spin' information may give us all credit for not being TOTALLY stupid and gullible.
Not much hope when the market leaders in 'spin' ie lies are the government.
The great British public is long overdue for speaking up for itself and telling liars what we think of them.
My beliefs anyway!:T0 -

Phew nearly blew a gasket reading this one.
I thank you for saying "so many of them" as opposed to the normal which is "all of them". Hope the EA's that help on this board stick with it as they give good advice:DA retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. Tis the same everywhere.
My Hospital proudly displays notices advising me the tolilets are constanly monitored for cleanliness, yet they are pretty filthy.
Scottish accented social services spokespeople tell us after every child is killed that "lessons will be learned" and that "all stakeholders will ensure inter agency communication is the key to protecting every child in future" - but none of this is ever properly followed through.0 -
The only bottom in evidence would seem to be the one the estate agents are talking out of...'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0

The photo on their home page may well show the lack of interest generated by the 'bottom being called'.
I wonder if they will be made aware their notice caused such mirth?
TBF I would hate to be an estate agent right now. Like bankers they obviously rely on top up payments, but unlike bonuses the commisions depends on sales. it must be extraordinarily hard for people who I think in the majority of cases in the younger generations at least, did believe property is safe investment and a great cash cow.

If the EA takes long term view that some years earnings will be good, other years earnings will be average and other years earnings will be poor there is NO problem. So the technique is to take from the business enough but not be greedy. Then in bad times there is money to get you, AND your staff through.
The problem is the greedy ones who take, take and take and have no regard for what is inevitable.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0
