Golden Retriever Wanted

Good evening,
I am offering a loving home to a Golden Retriever (aged between 9 months and 4 years - !!!!! or dog) as mine died last October.
I have my name down with a local Golden Retriever rehoming centre since October but to no avail as yet. (I'm trying to be patient, honest:D )
I spend hours looking through sites such as the RSPCA and local animal centres.
If any of you know of anyone or see any adverts for a Goldie local to South Wales please can you let me know.
Thank you in advance

have you had a look on rescuehelpersunite. its a forum which tries to help rehoming centres across the country find homes, help with fostering, transport etc.
hope that helps and bless you for offering to rehome a dog in needWhat matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0

Try dogpages forum or just google for Retriever rescue. You can look at dogs needing homes and you can place a post offering a home. Postings normally get very good response as many people who are volunteers with rescues scan the forum there.0

so glad you are looking at rehoming a rescue dog :-) - I think putting a 'home offered' ad on dogpages and/or retriever rescue is an excellent idea - good luck and let us know how you get on!
ETA - list of welsh rescues here for you to have a look at - many tears have at least one Golden Retriever in, (Arty), but he needs quite a specialised home as he is nervous, however, may well be worth letting them know you are on the lookout as I am sure they get them in quite often.0 -
Many tears tend to have ex breeding dogs which are best suited in a home with another dog as they have no experience of home life. Terrible that these puppy farms are still allowed.
Do you specifically want a gold retriever? Not a lab or a different colour? Must it be a girl?0 -

Thank you badgerbread. Every day I check the Many tears website. They do have Goldies from time to time however a most of them seem to be ex breading dogs. These require re homing with another dog and they are not house trained.
Everytime I look at the site it brings me to tears. I can't believe that people can be so cruel.0 -
