Try this thread : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=56042 We stayed at the Oasis Beach Hotel on Jumeirah beach, it's the only 4 start on there so the cheapest, really good service and very nice hotel, we did book through www.hotels.com but it was cheaper to go direct which we did in the end. If you do book here get a seaview room.2p off is still 2p off!0

Hello ayeshasi
Welcome to the MSE site.
I would agree with fatboyonadiet. Dubai is one big building site at the moment, so if you don't get a sea view room.........your view will include several cranes and general building site eyesores.;)
We stayed at Le Royal Meridien, a lovely hotel but it exceeds your price target.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
Ayeshasi, must it be a beach hotel? We opted to stay on the Sheikh Zayed Road area, which is only 5 mins in a taxi to the beach and an excellent location for best nightlife. We're stayin at the Towers Rotana which was just under your budget and no construction. They have an arrangement with the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and a shuttle bus to take you there, alternatively you can use Jumeirah Beach Park which is bigger. Other hotels in that area are the Ibis and Novotel also in your budget.0

If I went again I wouldn't stay on the beach, paid more then more central hotels for not a lot more, would rather do what NellieA did, and even though taxi's are cheap, our biggest fares were into the city and back. HTH.2p off is still 2p off!0

Well, thanks for all the replies. I am looking for something well under £100. And no, it doesnt have to be a beach hotel. No matter where it is situated, as long as its a nice and lovely hotel with excellent rooms.
The towers rotana is coming up to £125 per night. Any sites where i can book it cheaper from?0 -
Who was that with? Try booking direct with the hotel as they may give you a discount or a special price, if you have a look at that thread I suggested someone recommends the best and cheapest way is to book at the airport when you land.2p off is still 2p off!0

I got a good deal just before Christmas with Lastminute.com on a 5 star hotel on Jumerah Beach - Le Meridien Mena al Seyahi. It was fabulous and if you have children I would totally recommend it. However I did read I think on this forum that the Le Meridien at the airport is quite a lot cheaper and I think it said that you could use the facilities of the others. HTH.There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

If I remember rightly when I was looking round, the cheaper hotels were in the Bur Dubai and Deira areas and you'll probably spend more in taxis. Another one was the Rydges Plaza (nicely located) but not sure what the prices will be now as I booked mine end of October. We're going 20th March by the way. Good luck.0

I got Towers Rotana from Airline Network £658 7 nights B&B.0
