Still 21.5% higher than before the 35% rise. Cue more government pressure I think.0

Hmmmn...
So is this why they were pushing the "fixed" rate deals so heavily a few months ago.

Does this apply to click energy 6 customers as well?0

Clearly a publicity stunt. They move first and they get free advertising from the BBC news service. Don't go switching yet - it doesn't take effect until February, and of course, use a comparison site to see if they're as cheap as everyone else.
I think they were particularly devious in their selling of fixed price energy. Anyone selling products like that should be required to discuss the foward pricing curve with customers. Since last summer I don't think there's been much expectation in the industry that prices would rise any further.0 -

It was a cause of anger to me at the time and is still. Appalling industry, needs re-nationalising. And a totally unconvincing interview with Phil Bentley on Breakfast just now. He's about as convincing as that paid apologist Garry Felgate.Call me Carmine....

Isn't their new WebSaver 1 tariff guaranteed to be at least 10% lower than their standard tariff? They probably hoping for CE6 users to jump to WS1, but with it's lock in period, i'll need to give it some thought.
Mind you, i think you're only locked in til September, which is about the time the cold weather starts.0
