Where on earth, and how do you learn, which stuff is good or bad from the MASSIVE logfiles that people put on here.
You and aliEnRIK, and it has to be said, a couple of others, must spend hours and hours on here helping people, all for nothing really.
Our teen has, only today, installed limewire onto his brand new lappy.
He is not tecc savvy at all and I am fully expecting to be needing your help in the coming months....maybe even just days!
I thank you in anticipation..............

Limewire.....?
makes me long for the good old days of Winmx :shhh:0 -
limewire puts all the downloads in the same folder. be sure to right click and scan (with whatever AV you got) everything before opening it , and run a malaware scan now and again.0

Leo - in light of your previous comments about restricting your teenager, you are aware that Limewire is mainly used for illegal file sharing? From Poland...with love.

Copy and paste the log files into http://www.hijackthis.de/ and the resources they've gathered give you information on whether something is malicious or not..0

If the world is so "bothered" about p2p file sharing, why is it not stopped by the government? I will tell you why, because there are too many "I am going to tell the teacher" type people around bleating and it is not a great issue becasue nothing is being done about it. Who said WinMx?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
