Samsung digital camera

Hi I just wondered if anyone has one of these cameras, currently reduced at Argos from 229 to 99. just wondered whether it was very old stock or if they are generally not up to the job. It would be a first camera.

Well I reserved it anyway, customer view revealed that they actually bought me the Samsung A7 560/4250
(don,t know if it was a mistake but the cashier went and checked came back and said ok) and the accessory kit came half price, 4 batteries case and charger(6hr).
  • So basically you paid for the Samsung A6 and received the A7 which is £230 more expensive at £330. and they OKed this. Do you think that this would happen everywhere?

I do not know, I can only state my experience. I always use customer view just in case something else better is offered.
  • What is customer view? Where you pay a person and not quick pay?

I got the A6 for Crimbo (and now I know how much it cost!!!!! :D) and I absolutely love it.

It takes great pics, has loads of functions and the best bit for a girly... it has jazzy flashy lights on the frontwhen you switch it on :rotfl:

Seriously.... I've been really impressed with everything. It's compact, pretty easy to use and the battery life is better than other cameras I've used.

One thing my hubby did say was the the accessory pack is rubbish. It contains a case which is the same as the one with the camera and the rechargeable batteries are rubbish. He took it back and bought me a Uniross rechargeable battery pack with much better batteries in it.
Just run, run and keep on running!

Pistolero...you said you always do a "customer views" I always use customer view just in case something else better is offered? Are you saying that they often bring the wrong item out?

certainly a quick online availability check shows that the store you used do have A6's in stock - so it was probably a mistake...I guess that's what you get when you pay people the minimum wage!

A bit of a result eh?!!!

It is not a mistake, if the store runs out of stock of A6's, some A7's have come in to replace them, as an substitute to the A6 purchased...

Stock levels of A6's include the substitute A7 item (has same cat number stuck on box)

    :D

YES it will happen at any store, BUT only if the stock of actual A6 models have run out and they have been sent A7s to replenish the stock (of A6), under same cat number, as a substitute item

In this case, a much better and more expensive item. Customer view would be good, to check what model you would be getting before-hand. But the store might bring out all the A6's first, depends I guess
  • Jay-Jay I agree it was a bit of a result.

P.S The A6 showed as having 19 in stock on the little stock-checker thingies instore
