I felt after my change in circumstances it was time to start a new diary.
I don't intend to fill this diary with sadness of my situation but to concentrate on my future which I just know with some hard work will be fab!
So now my life consists of me (32), my little girl (3) and my puppy (18 weeks). I work full time (partly from home) and have around £15k of debt.
At the moment I can't do much regarding my debt plan as I am waiting to have "the money" conversation with my ex (first time I have written that :embarasse ).
Things are going to be tough as I want more than anything to stay in our house so that the disruption to my daughter is minimal. I also run the risk of losing my daughters school place ( she starts in April) if I move out of the village.
I am very lucky to have very supportive parents and also ones that have money, I know if I ever need them financially they are there but I WANT to do this on my own and i WILL.
I have no choice but to try and earn some extra money as although I earn quite a good wage by the time I have paid the outgoings on my own I fear there will be little left so I am open to any suggestions people may have.
I do mystery shops (few and far between in my area), I do STP although definately could do better and I do some Ebay so these things will all need to kick in big time.
I do Quidco clicks religiously but again I know there are other daily clicks out there so need to get my head round these and in to my daily routine.
Sorry if I have bored any of you lol

Awww, well just remember, you, your little girl and your puppy are all that matters
Being happy is seriously underrated these days, with a bit of a struggle, things become so much more worth while, thats my theory anyway
Now, practical advice. Get on the phone to national debtline, i know you cant sort out your debts toooo much at the mo but they have a brilliant information pack with sample letters to send to creditors and such. Worth the phone call and a step in the right direction.
Sign up for www.pureprofile.com and www.valuedopinions.co.uk, two online survey websites that do actually pay out well, I'm up to £22.30 and £8.70 respectively on these sites and only been with them about 3 months. Well worth it for doing barely anything.
You may have done already but look at any possible benefits for your daughter, family allowance, child tax credits, anything really. You should get a discount on your council tax for being a single person now. I'm not clued up on credits but look on your local council website, they should have the local benefits office details and such.
Hope thats helped a bitRemember, never give up and keep posting on here

Good luck doodledo, I know it'll be hard for you, but you're sounding much more positive today, you're looking ahead already *hug* It's good to hear you have such great support from your parents, and it will be a big confidence booster for you to know that, if you desperately need it, they'll be there for you financially too. Well done you for aiming to get there on your own :T, but remember not to be too proud to ask for your parents help if you absolutely need it.

Hi Doodledo,
I am sorry for your circumstances.
The free daily scratchcards are a great way to earn some easy cash (so much easier than clickthroughs!).

Nice to see you have started a new thread and diary - great - it IS huge amounts of fun and when the dust settles you will find being a solo-parent rewarding.
Maintenance isnt calculated in the tax credits calculation, so get on the phone to them as soon as you can (open today as well I think) and let them know your change of circumstances by phone, they will do the tricky bit. My pal just did this and her TC went up a wee bit, which took a bit of the pressure off for her. xx Goodluck xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Make sure you are claiming things like single person council tax relief and the like. I don't know anything else about claiming stuff I'm afraid!
What I do know is that you will get through this - you know what you need to do....you have been about these boards long enough, and you know that there is a wealth of advice, ideas and support out there for you. So don't think you have to do it on your own!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Cheers Hypno, of course I'll do it I just may have to suck you all dry for information, advice and support along the way.
