I know its not been a good day all round today in the banking sector (stating the bleeding obvious), Bradford and bingley down 15% to 31.5p a share. Their 52 wk high was at £3.28 some while back.Would anyone advise to buy a few thousand at this low price or do you feel there is still some way to go with this B.S.?

It is irrelevant what it was 12 months ago.
The share price is all about whether it will be able to make future profits.
Or not.
I doubt anyone on this board knows for sure. It would be a punt, pure and simple.0 -
putting money into any Bank's shares right now I'd say is a risk too far.0

The question is, what is your rationale for buying? ( It's your money, after all...) FWIW, I'm in the ' No ' camp as well. B&B issued a profits warning earlier this year and a rights issue followed. There's also the question of mortgage fraud. This is just from memory and a quick Google - if you are seriously thinking of investing, you'd need to dig a bit further.0 -
No. Most likely outcome a no-premium buy out within weeks in my view.0

I took up the rights issue at 55p a few weeks ago. I was one of a few 18% who did..
Wish I hadn't now..
Never mind...
Wait for a take over and see what happens. I would say they are heading the same way as the others..0 -

I think even bonds are a bet too far at the mo for me. Am sticking with collectives. Some will recover but I don't know which.0
