  • Hi :hello:

    F - creamy salmon, mash & peas
S - HM turkey goujons, rice & beans
S - sausage & bean hotpot HM, from freezer
    M - tuna pasta
    T - chicken curry & naan
W - pasta bolognaise Batch for freezer
T - orange soup HM, from freezer

Have a good week everyone :)

  • Ok, only a recent convert to planning meals but..

Friday - Cottage pie with carrots and green beans (Cook double amount)
Saturday - Cottage pie again (we don't cook on saturdays due to work etc, so heating up the rest of ysterdays is pretty much the way we go!)
Sunday - Roast chicken (frozen from M&S deal) and all the trimmings
Monday - Chicken fajitas with home grown peppers/onions done on grill pan, salsa,(home grown tomatoes and chillis) refried beans, cheese

    Tuesday - prawns and noodles
Wednesday - veggie quiche and new potatoes
Thursday - sausage and bean casserole-y thing with rest of new potatoes

As usual my plans start on a Sunday so here goes.

Sunday 14th: (leftover from Sat) chicken curry, HM naan, HM mushroom pakora.
Mon 15th: Roast chicken, potatoes, turnip, stuffing balls.
Tue 16th: solo's pizza, chips and salad
Wed 17th: [strike]Pasta carbonara [/strike] Creamy chicken and mushroom pasta (leftover chicken from roast)
Thu 18th: HM lentil and carrot soup, crusty bread.
Fri 19th: corned beef, potatoes and cabbage.
Sat 20th: HM onion rings, corn on the cob, spicy chicken, potato salad

I am struggling with my back at the moment  and feel like I am coming down with something (swollen throat!) so have tried not to over-do the HM front (was hoping a HM pizza but decided to use the Solo's instead). Anyone got a good stuffing ball recipe ?

    hi Nikki,
Whats in your orange soup ?
I am presuming its not literally oranges (maybe it is) but I like colourful things!

I posted it last week ;) butternut squash, sweet potatoes & carrots.

I always add cumin / coriander to any soup with BNS / carrots in :)

edit: I found the original recipe and it says to add a quartered orange (remove & discard the orange before blending the soup) but I never have. :p

Oh, not too keen on squash but maybe sweet potato and carrot (with perhaps a few lentils to thicken) might be nice. I will check last weeks thread (memory like a sieve right now so sorry for asking without looking properly :o). I love soup but need some more ideas.

I'm in again, I find things so much easier this way! I feel like, when I know in advance what I'm making, I have so much more energy and drive to do it so it's now all homemade!

Friday- Thai green chicken curry, with sticky rice
    Saturday- risotto & garlic bread
    Sunday- lamb koftas & naan
Monday- salmon with avocado & creme fraiche
    Tuesday- lamb kebabs
Wednesday- lamb, roast veg & cheese
    Thursay- lasagne & salad.

Have had to rejiggle a bit as the nights we have OH's kids were changed at very short notice!
