Be Nice to Other MoneySavers

Hi everyone

We're seeing more and more cases of people criticising others for posting duplicate freebies etc. Please remember we want to keep this the friendly community it always has been. If you can't say something nicely please don't say it at all.

Thanks

Andrea :)

I saw several posts yesterday about duplicate threads, each time the posters were polite and to the point they were not rude mealy informing the poster of duplicate threads and asking them to search. Is this a case of no one can now say anything at all for fear of being told off?

Similar this happens on grabbit forum where people post no grabbit and as soon as someone says this isn't a grabbit it isn't the poster who started the thread gets jumped on but the person who says this isn't a grabbit

No wonder this country is going down the pan no one dares say anything any more for fear of hurting someone's feeling. Fair enough if someone is rude then that's bang out of order, but often posts can be interpreted wrongly

I would have to agree with this, its all so PC and its annoying I have politely advised of search option and others have done the same to me, although when I first came on here there are certain names I won't mention who were quick to jump on me and rudely for already posted freebies, not the best way to welcome newbies, I think just a polite point it out will do the job :)

I can understand for new members it may be daunting making a first post, but how are they to know a post has already been posted if no one is allowed to inform them because that may be construed is criticizing someone

I believe the people who did it yesterday were doing this in good faith and they were certainly polite

I don't see why this is such a big deal  But a duplicate post of something in my eyes could be good for those new members joining the forum (like me) who can save time searching through pages and still take advantage of some really great offers which are open, to genuinely try and save money, which is the idea I thought. I don't see why those who have already seen a 'duplicate post' cant just ignore it rather than bullying the newbies ;)
