    Good morning all.

Shaz - hope you got a good night's sleep!

I'm just having a browse and found these links on Down to Earth's great blog http://down---to---earth.blogspot.com/ . There is also a brilliant forum on there which has only recently been set up. I joined it but now can't remember my username or my password, so I'm trying to sort that out! The blog is really good.

pippa, sounds like you had a fantastic time.
retail therapy, was a bit expensive lol, bought 2 balls sirdar yo yo, anybody used it, apparently one 400g ball, is enough to knit an adult size jumper.
also bought 10 balls kontiki, a cotton acrylic mix in lovely shades of pink. also some baby wool, for my mum, so she can keep going with the buntings and squares

I got a big ball yoyo about 4 years ago and knitted the back and half the front of the jumper....then lost the wool band with the pattern on! Had not been knitting so much, what with working full time then having DS and so on, but recently got a copy of the pattern again from the woman in the wool shop, and as I think I know what size I was doing I plan to finish it. I have the purple/lilac yoyo.
On the knitting front, little has been done, spent yesterday making another pair of pirate trousers for DS as iron went mad on first pair (had to haul all the boxes of too small clothes and finally found a pair....so he is a grey, black and orange pirate now! Also made a sword to tie on a scarf which will wrap across waist cumerbund style, with some jewels on too!
Anyway, nuff for now as better get myself doing what I am meant to be doing lol.
Hope you are all ok, glad to hear of your time away Pippa, and yes as Kathy says I hope you are ok Maytaurus. Kinsey I printed those pattern links off.....think they could be adapted without all the fancy glue bits and stuff....might even put small googly eyes on!

OrkneyStar your little pirate will look great, will you be taking a photo? I agree with you about the 'fancy glue bits and stuff', I hate using glue on knitted things.

Interesting link mioliere, will have a proper read later.
