Hiya, great cards been put on recently, and lovely to 'see' so many new faces. Also loving all these links to free scrapbooking and card sites offering free backgrounds - very mse! I was'nt aware that there was all this stuff out there, I've spent a fortune in the past buying papers, etc. when I didn't need to! I printed off some lovely embellishments on acetate yesterday from one of these links, (sorry, can't remember which one!) they'd cost about a couple of quid in a shop, so very happy! :D

I haven't made my aperture card yet, its still in the 'thinking' stage, lol, but I did make this card for one of my younger sons friends:

I used a childs illumination toy to write the 'Happy Birthday' bit, photographed it then adjusted the colour using picassa2 (free from google) stuck it down with a 'Stick it' double sided roll, and then added alien and star stickers.
Got to make a card for my hubby today sometime, its his birthday tomorrow! - might do the aperture one for that!

Quiksave, I absolutely love the card. Perfect for a child - the bright colours are gorgeous! You must be chuffed to bits with it.
  • Quicksave thats amazing, love the use of a child toy to make the image.

Ive been making cards for a while now ,theyre not very proffessional looking but people seem to appreciate the time and effort put in.

Hiya I lurk on this thread but rarely post. My problem, slightly off topic, is that I have too much card making stuff and it all needs sorting out. Any ideas about the best way to store it ? At the mo I have it in various boxes and baskets & files. Don't know whether to buy a deep bookcase or a chest of drawers. Any ideas please ? TIA

    Hi All
Hope everyone is well. So Apeture week this week? Good. That's my favourite type of card to work with as I find it hard to stay neat with any other kind!

I've had a look at everyone's cards and they're all lovely:T . Good to see so many new people joining and rejoining the thread.

Qwiksaver, love the card for the little boy, it looks really well made and Shaz Mum of 2 love the flowery green card you made, very professional looking.

I'm gonna have some problems with my decoupage card next week, because I don't buy anything (only card and paint lol!), but I might do a wee drawing on the computer and work with that and a colour printer and see how it goes.
