why not go to one of the many independant motor factors that offer halfords "trade discount" prices as their normal prices. Nearly all are open to the public. That way you don't have to worry about "blagging your way in".Match betting 2/04/08 - present profit £607
Cashback sites 2/04/08 - present profit £223 (mostly through bookies)0 -

i do,and im sure most others do aswell, but the point in this thread is to establish a rough price list of trade prices for parts we have bought with the trade card so we can easily compare to a local motor factors.
im a mobile service engineer,i regularly need to use motor factors but sometimes halfords is the most convienient and easiest to find in most towns,so with the trade card i dont cost my company a small fortune every time i need generic parts like batteries etc..
i would prefer to use a local motor factors to halfords as the knowledge and interest of thier staff includung thier management is totally dire....work permit granted!0 -

yes indeed they are,i tried 3 different branches for focus pads and discs, got 3 different answers each time, the last one i tried told me that my focus doesnt have pads and discs! amazing!...work permit granted!0 -
yeah you really do need an idea of what the part looks like and approx value before you go in
theyd be sooo much better if they employed some decent staff , this branch had a load of teenage girls loafing around...where if you go to a good dealer /gsf they know the part numbers in their head lol and can often offer repair advice too0 -

totally agree, even when the car park is full of modified cars that the staff obviously own, they havent a clue.
i would always prefer to use a good traditional motor factors but halfords is convenient for most basic consumables....work permit granted!0 -
any idea who makes their belts n service parts ...i was hoping to find some marks on the parts indicating where theyre made
just wondering how they hold up...cheap tat or top quality?0 -
The thing that puts me off their fan belts is it looks like they've been on display for 5 years or more and are covered with dust0
