They look lovely. I was worried that I would buy one and not be able to get the best out of it but you cant go wrong with a roast I suppose.

Is the cooking time for joints the same as in a conventional electic cooker?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

It also does an excellent deep dish pizza, which I'm going to make again tonight.

Hi ghp - I have just caught up with the thread after being away. If you are still following it, could you please explain how you do your deep dish pizza in the Remoska? Over the years, I have worked on my thin & crispy HM pizza, and just when it was perfect, my DH remarked that actually he prefers a deep pan style! I've done some googling, but a lot of the American deep dish pizza recipes use cornmeal, which I cannot get in this part of France. How do you make yours? Thanks in advance - Ch.

aftr reading this thread, i am tempted to get one too.
problem being unsure of which size. what size chicken will the standard one cook? the most i cook for is four, but usually just 2 or 3 of us, and all got very good appetites, especially the teenage boys
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)
  • Week 2 with Remoska. This morning the full English ... sausages, black pudding, fruit pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread & good ol' bacon and eggs. 20 minutes all in from start to finish. Took about 20 seconds to clean the pan. Absolutely brilliant.

Coronary care unit beckons, of course, but it tasted great.

I haven't got the shallow pan and am getting tempted. For no other reason than to get another free roll of Lakeland tinfoil. That stuff is brilliant too ... it's more sheet metal than tinfoil. Could seriously repair the guttering using Lakeland tinfoil.
  • Where can I buy a Bravoska or does anyone know of any links where I can find a demo on it?? Or anywhere where I can easily compare it to the Remoska??

I've had a Remoska for about five years now and I'm still delighted with it; and rarely use my oven. I hadn't heard of a Bravoska but I had a look at their website and one BIG difference is the power consumption: the large Bravoska uses 1250W whilst the Grand Remoska only uses 650W. I reckon mine must have paid for itself a couple of times over by now!

There are just two of us, so I decided on the Standard one, but looking at Clutterfree's lovely roast & spuds, I'm already regretting my decision not to get the Grand size. In your case, with growing lads to feed, I'd definitely go for the Grand.

I've seen a few people say that they set the timer and get home to a ready made meal - is there a timer on the Remoska then? (still anxiously awaiting its safe arrival - almost like expecting a baby - just need to clean the house and I'll be ready!!)
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

No timer, no thermostat, it really is a very simple piece of kit. You would need to buy a separate timer to use on the plug/socket if you wanted to set it going while you were out, but I can see this would be a handy addition.
