It's only a Tenner anyways, my Dinner of 1 Doner Kebab, 1 King Rib Single, 1 Small Chips and 1 Fish Supper cost 11.20

Add on £1.99 for the Rennies and 99p for 2 rolls of bog paper, which you'll need to keep in the fridge overnight if the kebab's got chilli sauce on!
Just because you used to be you think everybody else is, don't you?

Doner Kebab's always gets criticism and I don't think it's fair or justified. Fair enough it is LADEN with FAT and the origins of the meat or indeed the meat content is unknown but it DOES taste wonderful and I remember purely eating those for nearly a week and no toilet problems as everyone claims. They are a WONDERFUL item that I could not live without.
  • Seconded!

    -Doner kebabs are beautyyyyful! :D

...im not at all over weight by eating them, and they are decent food that fills one up. very well!

Not really. Reading that article makes me even more convinced that wired networking is better than wireless ;)

EDIT: maybe I need to explain myself a little better here. When I moved into my current house I didn't have internet access, and one of my work colleagues pointed out that instead of paying to have broadband installed I could just spend a tenner on the aerial to plug into the back of my PC, then use somebody else's broadband service

This has nothing to do with me wanting to be a hacker, or send spam, or anything nefarious like that. It was just a work colleague suggesting a way of saving me the cost of paying for broadband myself. I could effectively surf the internet at somebody else's expense :p

That's a bad thing to do. With a packet monitor, they can watch the data you send to and fro (ie. Sites, Downloads, Etc..) which is an invasion of your privacy.

Yes, IMO, wireless = crap.. It needs to be developed further before it is safe to use...

But doesn't WEP encryption stand for Wired Equivalent Protection?

That must mean a wired network is just as succetible...

I am still thinking about buying one of these but my new house has "ISDN" installed in it and apparently I don't need to do all this business.

I don't think a wired network is as susceptible, but I do think the description Wired Equivalent Protection is overly optimistic...

Mine turned up, but I noticed that it said on the box "For optimum performance with a DSL or cable modem, Belkin recommends the 4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router"

Amazingly simple to install this product, although I suppose I was lucky to have two computers that both already have Network Interface Cards and both run Windows XP

Anyway I fed my cable modem into the switch, and connected cables from both PCs into the switch. My main PC which already had broadband still had broadband when I turned it on, but I was unable to install broadband onto the second PC, seems to be a problem that my cable modem won't allow me to have two PCs (and therefore two IP addresses) connected to it

Both PCs were already sharing the same printer anyway, by having one attached via USB and one attached via RS232 (or whatever that big grey connector is called that we have been using to connect printers for about twenty years!)

So it definitely works, and is very easy to set up, but the only benefit to me is a shared folder. My little girl was hoping to have broadband!

Thanks to OP anyway, this seems like a great price for a product from a well-respected manufacturer :)
