I'm putting together a 'survival kit' for a 50th later this month. I've got the idea from the Crafty for Christmas thread.

    So far I've
a snack pack of prunes......to keep you going;)
sherbet dibdab...............to put sparkle in your life
plastic fruit...................to help you feel 'fruity'
    & I'm going to add blue smarties in a box marked mycoxafloppin...generic viagra:D ..
    amongst other things.

I've snaffled a shoe box but would welcome any other ideas....
    Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;
loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Pencil sharpener - for a clear sharp brain
anti wrinkle cream -to keep them at bay (you might get some off Freebie board)
Photo in mirror - if you've got a photo, stick on a small mirror so he/she doesn't seem to age at all

Can't think of anything else at the minute......

coin - so you're never completely broke
t-bag(or some other beverage) -to help you relax
tissue - for tears of joy or sadness (or weepy movie)
smiley face - smile a day keeps the wrinkles at bay
string - to hold things together when you think they're falling apart

I am making my sister a 'Reading Hamper' for her birthday containing: a trilogy of books, hot chocolate, mini-marshmallows, really fluffy socks, and them I'm stuck for ideas for what else to add. Help would be appreciated. Also along the same theme its my other sisters birthday (aswell!) and i have no idea what to get her. She will be turning 21 but is going through a bit of a rough patch with not eating, not working and mild depression she is also very hard to please with presents and never seems impressed and i really have no clue what to get her!

    Thanks everyone

journal and nice pen & ink - might help her to write her thoughts down?
nice photo frame with the family in or collage of favourite photos of her growing up?

Howabout one of those little reading lights you can clip to the top of your book, a nice bookmark, a snuggly cushion...am sure someone will come up with more ideas :D
