I usually keep to red and green on the updates but it didn't feel right to paint you red for the pence you went over. So, in true traffic light system, you are amber :D

Well done to you both, you did very well! :T

I have some other good DFW news, which is about the pan I managed to burn hopelessly yesterday (trying to poach eggs, forgot to put in water, plastic egg holder cup thingies with eggs in them melted into a morass of plastic & egg on the saucepan bottom). I chucked the whole lot in the bin assuming the pan was unusable but my boyfriend persuaded me to see if the plastic would just break off and actually, it did. So I don't have to buy a new pan!! or metal holder for the cups. I'll replace the cup holders at some point but don't have to right now and they won't cost much. So a saving!!!

Now there is a bit of good MSEing! Pleased for you Cathy - hope the roof has a positive outcome too!

    I spent £10 on takeaway:o :p

and £6 on something I've wrote down but haven't wrote what it was on lol!!:rotfl: goodness knows what it is!

    Good afternoon lovely DFWs :)

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday! It's been non stop packing here since yeaterday morning and we have finally run out of boxes :j I am pleased because I really do want to have some relaxation time now and the military commander :rotfl: would not have let me rest with empty boxes sitting around

The best thing is that I have not spent any money since Thursday! :T So although I went over last week's budget, I've been very good for three days in a row :) I'll aim for no more than £15 again this week and I will make it this time!

Ashamed to say we completely lost track last week!! I know it was nowhere near £100 and having a quick look at the internet banking my guesstimate is that we spent £70.

      This weeks target is £50.

    1. Hi Moozie and all

Busy day today - just on my "lunch hour". Gym this morning but managed to walk past the papershop and not go in. Feels weird. Sunday isn't Sunday without a pile of newspapers! I'll read the highlights on line in a mo.

Need to catch up with college work this afternoon as I did nothing yesterday (day out - yay!). No essay due this week (thank you lovely lecturers) but I want to finish reading this week's modules and work on my revision notes (exams mid-January).

      No spend for me today.

Time to join in with the challenge again this week, methinks.

Need to spend £10 on a top up for the mobile and £6.50 for my dance class on Monday. I'm OK for basics foodwise, but will need to top up the fruit and veg supply so I'm allowing £25 this week.

      Have a good week all!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

Hi Moozie - I am pleased that you did not let anything as trivial as packing for your move interfere with the all important Sunday 'Lie in'

As far as my spending goes - I actually spent £34.00 last week   but mainly due to my visit to Manchester which I reported in Thursday's post.
But back to reality, and yes I will try to keep it lower this week and am aiming at less than £20.00.

PS Wait till tomorrow before you miraculously find that 'stack' of empty boxes that have managed to 'hide themselves' in the garage.

Have a good Sunday Moozie.
