I am sorry to have vented & I am sorry if I have upset anyone, I will leave it there.

    Goodnight.

We can’t wrap children up in cotton wool no matter how much we try.

A mistake albeit a stupid one, but a mistake was made, I’m surprised you actually dedicated time in calling the complaints line.

I just feel I`ve been fobbed off. All I wanted was a sorry it shouldn't have happened, & I haven't had that.

For future reference, next time you complain to another company be sure to tell them what you want, otherwise your complaint is more or less wasted.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional
  • Personally I think that they responded to the complaint it enough

    I'd let it rest now!

If she wants her kid to look up to shop staff she has no aspirations for her kid!!

A snobby and illfounded post. Nothing was said about looking up to shop staff. What's wrong with being "shop staff" anyway?

In my view the OP was disappointed, complained, and has moved on. Why the criticism?

Absolutely right. You were entitled to an apology.

MY apologies for fellow MSE's who seem so adamant at shooting down someone who appears to expect decent standards.

at 3, the only way a child would know a word was wrong is if you make an issue of it.
  • I sympathise - although I think their response at least shows they have taken it seriously. I make a point of complaining every time I encounter shop staff having a row in front of customers, or 3 of them discussing last night's outing very loudly while I'm waiting for someone to serve me, or shouting across a room at each other in front of customers. I doubt that any action is taken, and they probably think I'm a boring old fart, but if it makes them think twice about behaving appropriately in front of customers next time then that's all I hope for.

allthough i agree that it was wrong for the assistant to swear it seems from reading your post that she didn;t relise you were there! (put hand over mouth) also it's so very hard when undr alot of stress at work not to swear!!
but have you not been in shops or arcades where customers use far worse language - as a normal matter of fact conversation because in this 'the age of the chaver' if i pulled up everyone that used bad language in front of my kids i'd be permently walking about with a black eye and broken arm x
