So do I grit my teeth and use my own money and stick strictly to match betting rules? Or do I give up now?

I think you'll be fine with matched betting now you've experienced the pain of unmatched betting :)

Right I'm up and running again. I've listed 3 lots of childrens clothes that I was given on e-bay and am still thinking about big bucks at the end. I've got my eye on a few things that I could buy and sell on at a profit so fingers crossed.

I will place a few matched bets over rest of weekend.

Thanks to the op re the ebay thread - never would've thought of buying a Haynes manual but doubled my money on one just now!
Also continuing with the matched betting, but it is quite slow with my balance at the moment, only being able to do one at a time.
Waiting till I get £100 + then I can do Skybet etc!
Don't know what to do to get the big money at the end yet.....any ideas?

Thanks for all your advice with this Dan - I've just spent the last 3 hours trawling through the boards, playing with the spreadsheet etc and trying to get my head round it all. Have headache now so stopping to do the housework (oh the glamour......!)

Am really struggling with working out the odds on Paddypower - I know I saw a post somewhere telling how, but I can't find it again. please help, Mr fabulous and helpful Dan....sir.....:D

Do you mean because the odds are in Fractional display ("3/1" etc) rather than Decimal display?

Yes.....am too overwhelmed today to just work it out - am sure there's a simple method but it escapes me...having a blonde moment!:o
  • I just wanted to say well done to everyone - you all seem to be doing great!
And that I made £5.38 with my ebay selling so far, (ummm maybe I should stick to matched betting - although now need to save up money for that again because my money for nothing money has been spent on car insurance and MOT-but first time in my life I've paid my car insurance for the year ahead of the year if that makes sense- yippee!!!!)

I have also made a better total of £17.25 mystery shopping with reatil eyes so am now off to update my signature!

Also does everyone feel that it's okay to sell amazon vouchers on ebay? Because I've £16 worth from diferent surveys and am not sure if selling them is against their rules?

For everyone who's worried about matched betting if you can invest a lot of time to start with and a bit of money it's a really good way to make money forever! I highly recommend it - I'm now off to do some with my mystery shopping earnings, (not much but a start!)
