    So did my hubby.

Have you called them, I think he has to call them to confirm its been paid or they'll keep sending letters!

I called Avance and the were rubbish, in my case, it turned out two invoices had been generaed suggesting I'd had 2 shipments when I'd only had one pair off boots. I got fed up with Avance so called Fed Ex direct and they were really apologetic saying there was no evidence I'd had 2 at all, but just a random secod invoice. Very frustrating though! x x x

Grateful for any advice if anyone knows what my next step can be (if any), I sent my holed uggs back to aussie direct at a cost to me of just over £12 and they have emailed me back saying its wear and tear (after 3 months) and they wont exchange or refund, and are willing to send them back to me at a cost of $25 or I dont get them back, im livid

Others who sent them back to Ugg Australia have had replacements, Aussiedirect should replace them and then claim the cost back themselves, I would tell them that had you sent them directly to Ugg Australia they would have honoured it as it is a known common fault!

As for wear and tear what utter rubbish I have practically lived in Ugg boots for the past 4 or 5 winters and my chestnut ones never did this, they even went onto be loved by a new owner via ebay when I got a new pair! They last years.

Thats what I thought mookie, im held over a barrel now either pay them $25 and risk customs to get them back or dont pay and not have any boots and lose £100 to add insult to injury :o

I have read people having them for years so couldnt understand why mine went through the toe after 3 months, another member on here has sent hers back after only a month's wear and the toe went through on them and has been told she wont get a refund either although she did get them from another company :o

Are they made in china or Oz?

If a company suggests going a size down for a snug fit on these boots then the toes should be supportive enough of the wearers feet so their toes dont pop through! I think you should contact Ugg Australia yourself before deciding to pay for the return, tell them you are not happy having paid such a high price for a pair of their branded boots and that if the boots were a couple of years old and been worn out you would accept wear and tear as a valid reason, but as the boots are gently worn you do not feel the decision made by Aussiedirect is justified. Also mention the reviews easily found on google about customer service after purchase from Aussiedirect. As a retailer of their brand their service standards should be that of Ugg Australia. I am pretty confident in assuming your boots havent been checked by a member of the Ugg Australia team, I worked in a well known sports shop years ago, if the company decision was not accepted by the customer then the footwear was sent to the manufacturer for them to decide. Aussiedirect should offer to do this at their cost, they do not manufacture the boots and are not trained in every possible defect that could arise.

    Good luck. ;)

Nope tis right about not wearing socks, (oooh I love wiggling my bare toes in the fleece!!). My boots have removable insoles that are washable...but they are not 'proper' Uggs...came from Kiwisheepskins, NZ ;)

hi sorry to intrude, i've been reading thru these posts regarding ugg boots and i found ur thread saying you had a pair from kiwi sheepskins. i've been seriously thinking off purchasing a pair off this site and was wondering what you thought of ur boots? also are they sized big like the high street uggs which i've had 2 pairs of and now i've given up on them because both pairs were faulty!

  • I seem to remember going on a site which sold Ugg and also sold other boots which were virtually identical apart from the label.

    Canterbury's perhaps?

Can't find on Google and going kerrrazy
