Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 16 - Post your finds here

Updated 6th February 2008

All Boots seems to have different policy’s. What happens in one does not necessarily happen in another.

BOOTS CS 0800 9150004 or 0115 918 2000
Boots CS Email - btc.cshelpdesk_team@boots.co.uk
Boots website - https://www.boots.com/login/index.jsp
Boots Codes - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=566433&highlight=boots+code

Successfully getting some of the better glitches often depends on if the SA you pick is willing to try. Its sometimes sensible to buy some other things to 'disguise' your bargain. If the SA won't put it through, please don't make a fuss - they are only doing their job. Just try again another SA / store / day. It is a good idea to try and make a friend in a SA if possible.

The baby experts baby wipes are bogoff at 2.55, i used a half price baby expert voucher from the mailing, so they are 1.27.
the till then minused 0.51 for each packof wipes. so got 2 packs of wipes for 21p. Does not work in all shops

The Johnson's stuff is on 2 for £2.50 and the cotton wool is on 2 for £2. The Johnson's individual prices are £2.47,so the "till" online sees the original price @ £2.49......
So if you buy 4 of the Johnsons, you pay £4.96 but the till see's it as £9.96ish (sorry if the figures aren't quite right). Add something cheap like the cotton buds for 55p, and this takes you over the £10 spend..........but you only pay £5ish...
Baby Shampoo x 2 = £4.98
Baby Shampoo x 2 = £4.98
Cotton Buds x 1 = 0.55 (to take total spend to over £10)
= £10.51
200 points awarded
**the 2 for £2.50 then kicks in**
Total to pay = £5.51
.Thanks Jamtart
This offer also works with BOGOHP Selected Aussie Haircare, Selected Boots Haircare, Selceted Pantene Haircare, Selected Head & Shoulders and selected Herbal Essence

  • I have had to slap my hand for the past weeks to stop reaching for the mouse to post this message. But I have decided to go ahead and post as I feel it is necessary..

There appears to be a growing trend to 'knock' people who sell on ebay. Even posting links to individual items and criticizing sellers.
I would love loads of the things on ebay, but that's a fact of life. We cant always have what we want.

I understand need, and need in many cases is why people sell on ebay.

Maybe the nice person you have met on the Boots site is one of these sellers and is too embarrassed to say.I feel really uncomfortable with this naming and shaming.

There are loads of people on Martins site who are also sellers. Please don't knock them, because you could not get your item in the sale. Please don't make examples of them as if they are criminals. It is morally wrong. to post the links. Look at them but don't share them. We all know where ebay is, and how to search.

People sell on ebay for all kinds of reasons. Me? I sell because my mortgage was mis-sold and I stand to lose my home, , so I want to pay off my mortgage.

I am bound to upset someone, but please live and let live, and do not judge people who are selling, when you know nothing about them or their circumstances. There are buyers in this world and there are sellers. There are also buyers & Sellers. One group should not judge another.

I know this is off topic but is very much Boots related. I would hate to see this lovely thread turn into a "Lets hate people who sell on ebay thread."

Please think again before you point the finger at others, and judging people, as you dont know the full picture.. I have been as diplomatic as possible, but I hope in general people will see that what I am saying is fair.
  • Theres a free gift (apparently worth £33) when spending £20 on No7 stuff. I was wondering if i spent £10 on stuff and then bought the illuminating powder (worth £10.25) with free voucher - would i still get the free gift?

Also noticed that in the first post it mentions a £5 off No7 or Ruby & Millie wys £20 voucher from parenting club...could this mean that you would only need to spend £5 for the above...?:D

Just trying to get the hang of bootsing....has massive addictive potential!!
November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post. :D

    Thanks every1!
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!

I'm sorry if I was one of these people. I only posted a link because the voucher was out. I dont criticise people on ebay, I would sell my own stuff if there was a profit to be made, I think the only thing that grates on people is that the sellers are selling something they could have got. Instead they are trying to make a profit from it. I understand everyones situation is different, we dont mock you for it. Just some people have more guts.

No, you would get the lot for free:rotfl:
Example: high lights 10.25 (or 10.75 if you buy from a london store:confused: )
    something for 9.75 = 20.00 + GWP

Then use 5.00 Parenting Coupon WYS 20.00 + new 5.00 No7 voucher + mag voucher for free high lights = absolutely free:D
  • Wow, i'm impressed!!! You mention a new No7 £5 voucher, was this given to you on a previous spend? Still, have much to learn - could do with a boots mentor!!!
November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post. :D

This morning I printed off an AC voucher for solo eye shadow, 2 for £5, can be used with £1 off voucher from recent gift sets (expires tomorrow) + GWP = £4 to pay...or spend another £1 and use 100points voucher from boots mag:D

I picked up another boots mag today from Oxford street (next to bond street) none left at my local store. I think they are going to be very hard to find from now on, especially since so many peeps on the freebie board have complained to CS about SA not letting them have high lights with reduced stuff. I wouldn't be surprised with they recall all mags until offer ends:mad:
