I saved £53 in M&S today!

I went to M&S today and tried on
1.long jumper reduced from £50 to £19
2.long slleved top £9 to £5
3.long sleeved red double layer top £19 to £12
4.limited collection sheer grey shirt and camisole £34 to £17.

Fitted lovely.
Went to find check out...

Original Total £112
Reduced total £53

I felt so excited...look at all the money I had saved, what could I now do with this "saved money" I could buy nloads of other things now.

Got to checkout so everyone else with trolleys full imagining how much they had saved and that light bulb moment flashed again...

Did I need any of this no.

I went and put it all back spent £0. Look how much I saved. I needed none of it really and guessed everyone elses NEEDED none of what they were getting either; despite all that MONEY SAVED!!! (NOT!)

I felt so proud of myself.

(N0 doubt posted in wrong place on forum so please move or delete if you think is not appreopriate; even if you do delete I still feel so proud of myself. and wouldnt have been able to do this if I hadnt been so inspired and questioned my spending habits by you lot, THANKYOU X)

:T Excellent post. I agree with Gingham and I've also nominated janthemum for post of the month. I nearly didn't read it as I thought it was going to be a bargain spotting story, so glad I did.

It reminds me of the story about the man who tells his wife that he ran all the way home after the bus and saved himself £1. She says 'you idiot, why didn't you run behind a taxi and save £10 ?'
