    Moggins List

Do all bedrooms on Friday so may just do stairs and landing - will see as littles playing up at the min. My bedroom day is friday so bedding will be done tommorow.

Composing list for tomorow now but not sure what will get done as when DD1 starts coughing it usually means ear infection :( so I am guessing a bad night is due and trip to doctors tomorrow!

I have borrowed friends carpet cleaner and that was the plan for the weekend but was hoping to do bedrooms tomorrow but will wait as see.

Just waiting to see what the list is. We have viewers on Saturday so feel really pleased that house just needs daily tidy. I am getting to tidy the things people dont see hidden in draws and cupboards and getting rid of stuff we dont need. As the clutter is clearing so is my mind.

I tried to edit my reply but for some reasons I can't:rolleyes:  . Anyway I've gone on a guilt trip saying Friday when Moggins has less time and she is the one organising this and I ermm joined yesterday and still haven't finished todays tasks yet :o .

I have a suggestion, what about putting up both Fridays and Saturdays tasks tonight so they are interchangeable with whatever peoples plans are. That way those who prefer bigger tasks whilst kids are at school can have w/end off and those who are limited in what they do on Fridays can have more relaxing day and do their big tasks Saturday. Any good
  • I couldn't get to work today as we had about 4-5 inches of snow. Car was skidding all over the place and I just thought stuff it and went home. STarted flying and tidied round, did washing, dish washer filled, brought ironong up to date. Just sat on my bum for 10 mins and got a call from dd to say school was closing and she had missed the bus. Told her to get train instead and she was upset as she hadnever walked home from train station hersefl before. So I had to get the boots on and walk 2 miles in the snow to go and get her with her wellies. Went then and collected ds and got home after 2.5 hours. DD and I were soaked and miserable and DS was hyper. All good work from this morning wrecked lol as kids been in and out all afternoon with wet and mucky feet. Ho hum . Take care all xx

Having spend yesterday reading through this thread and finding myself housebound due to the snow, I decided to do today's tasks and see how I was at flying, and I can finally say that I have managed all todays jobs - bedroom is looking good, bedding all washed (although not all quite dry) clothes tidied up and for the first time in along while I can see all the bedroom carpet and not just a small patch.
I tend to leave things until all rooms are crying out for some attention and then spend a mad weekend tidying up and shouting at the family for not helping, this thread will help me to stick to my aim for this year to be far more organised within the house, so if it's not too late can I be counted in as well.

Hi Jjef, I also started flying today and although I am absolutely shattered after gutting my bedroom, hovering behind and under the bed, cleaning and washing, doing all my daily tasks I feel I have achieved something and feel great. This forum is really great and quite addictive. Good luck

    Friday Flying Fiasco

So this week you should have tackled: Living room, bathroom, dining room, kitchen and main bedroom? Yes, right?

Todays mission is (drumroll) childrens rooms (I have left this until Friday as last time I tackled my sons room it took me 3 days and 16 binbags!) Anyone who doesn't have children can finish off any undone jobs in the rooms we have tackled so far.

For those with children try and get those uniforms in the wash tonight and out to dry. (come on, it will only take 5 minutes to load that machine!)

    1 nasty little hotspot
Nightime routine - It's the weekend, just swish that kitchen and fluff that living room.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

:rotfl: now why didn't I keep my mouth shut and leave it for this week

I have done DS2s room as that is the biggest room we have, so it's DS1s tomorrow and the little bits left in mine. 3 hours and 16 bin bags sounds about right! Maybe 4 hours! Oh blimey talked myself into that one didn't I.

Uniforms good idea, it's taking longer to dry things at the minute and when I washed them all over the weekend last week they were not all dry on time to iron/put away together.

Right off to add those to my list.
