Hi had loan statements back from LTSB, its from an SAR request but seems everything will come in dribs and drabs.
Now basically I was very silly when I was younger. Had lots of credit and have been since(although my credit record is shot so not more).
According to these Lloyds seemed to like getting me in almost once a year for a new loan and adding a bit more on top.
Now there is no doubt the insurance was missold and I cant believe there were 4 occasions. I only recall 2 occasions but the first I had to have it because of my young age and the other because I had recently changed jobs. Never any mention of my asthma. I'm pretty sure the other 2 were literally top ups, sign the form and moneys in my bank.
There was though at some point a gap where I moved the loan to HFC bank for less then a month, at which point a friend who worked at the branch rang me and told me to get the hell out of there and get the loan elsewhere
I'm pretty sure this was before the 4th loan, they just paid the cash in my bank for me to pay the debts.
There is below a copy of all statements they have sent me for all 4 agreements, also I have found the letter I recieved when I wanted to settle the final loan(and pay with an A&L which also had ppi, reclaimed years ago). This may not be the actual figure as I think I settled 3 months after but its going to be about right.
Could someone look at these and tell me where I stand?, it seems I was paying interest on them and they were making up the balance so every time I topped up the loan they just paid off the last one and added more insurance. Except the last which was a mare straight forward loan into my account.
Heres the links, sorry they are not in order but are numbered, i'm trying to sort them out a bit

Hi there
To What I know of if you had one loan after another to settle the previous they give you some sort of rebate which would therefore reduce what is owed, the rebate of where it states other I believe is so much PPI rebate, unless someone clarifies otherwise.
So if you were to be successful at reclaiming the PPI for whatever reasons you have they should refund all you have paid in PPI, interest etc, Simple interest and so on.
Then they would minus any rebate on the PPI alone given on settlement.
Hopefully someone will be along to take a closer look at these for you and knows how this works.
We have had so many loans with these, but mainly there have been gaps when settling, for instance we settled and taken another about 2 years later.
I would write to them to reclaim if you believe you were mis sold, and if mis sold for the same reasons, then write on the one letter, but to write all account numbers that apply.
However, the chances are they will split these anyway.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them, they normally send a confirmation acknowledgement letter of receiving the complaint, and give you a timescale of when you should hear, but they are entitled to 8 weeks.
Martin's guidelines of reclaiming is also helpful, follow the procedures on there, and if you use a template letter to reclaim, personally I would write in your own words, as in my experience, I have been more successful directly with having a complaint resolved direct with the bank.

Also check this template out to help you through this if you want to, but as a guide with your own words would be better.

Hope this helps, good luck with this and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks amersall. Can I do them all as 1 claim or should I do 4?
Strangely 1 of them has been removed due to image violation? Ah well thanks.
I guess the fact they were miss informing on 2 occasions that they were topping up the loan when infact they were starting all over again adds more strength.0 -
Thanks di3004, well tbh i'll be happy with what I can get from these. Didnt expect the numbers to come back looking like this but as you say there will of been rebates in here somewhere.0

Your very welcome.
I did note the rebate on the one, and not on the others, unless I missed, but you should be entitled if succesful to the remainder of it, plus interest etc.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
If you check Maxdp's thread on how the financial ombudsman service (FOS) calculates refunds, if the bank does not give you a general offer, but uphold and accept liability of mis selling, then they should therefore calculate the same way as the FOS, so do please check this out here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1596473
I would not worry about writing down the amounts on the reclaiming letter, because if your successful they should supply these to you, or you request they send you a detailed breakdown of each account.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi again.
I'm a bit confused by something.
Ive been reading real contrasting information in regards to how far back you can claim.
I'm reading some places you can go back 6 years but then others are saying as far back as you can. Can someone clarify this for me?0 -
Hi there
Many have been successful in reclaiming as from the 90's, if you still have hold of the details then this helps, one of mine was from 2001 and was successful. (LLoyds too).
I am not too certain but maybe the 6 years is more on the reclaim charges side of things.
You should be okay here and if its only now your aware of the mis selling, you should be fine.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
