The current family meal deal for £5 finishes today:

Just got a DTD on this deal with 2 Cheese And Garlic Baguettes which are not in the offer, but which I have seen displayed in the cabinet with the offer items for at least the last 10 days in my local (and likely the whole of the offer period of 4 weeks!) It just shows how many people don't bother to check their receipts!0 -
Had two excellent joints of pork free yesterday[value £29.44].
Look for yellow/black SELS: Boneless leg roast, half-price £2.99 kg.
Apparently old stock hasn't had Offer stickers applied.

Just went up to get some of this.
The pork stickered, barcoded, and sel'd at 2.99 per kilo has arrived at the store like that and is a promo. It is just marked Boneless pork leg.
The other pork leg without the stickers is still priced up at 5.98 per kilo and still scans up at £5.98 per kilo and is priced up instore - there was no SEL for this.
The pork was all in the same place, however the big difference is that the full price pork is labelled as 'British Pork' and the special offer pork is just labelled 'pork' (and in fact comes from Holland).
Initially the CS lady was as confused as I was, but an alert Supervisor noticed the difference and they agreed to let me have the British Pork at half price, and there was no chance of getting DTD as there was no SEL for the 'British Pork'. Anyway got some British Pork at half price:-)Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Similar thing happened to me last week, I picked up two Tesco brand My First Vacuum Cleaners, were £12 reduced to £1.98 but they scanned at £12 so I took them to CS with visions of double the difference but the CS said the shelf label barcode and the item barcodes were different so even though they were the SAME product in EVERY way except for the barcodes being only ONE digit different I wasnt allowed to have them for £1.98. I was able to return them of course and get my money back but would have so chuffed at the bargain if it had worked out. Their excuse was the shelf label probably applied to old stock.0 -
I bought Tavernello Trebbiano Pinot Bianco (750ml), the SEL said £2.99 but it scanned at £3.99 so I got £2 back.

You should quote their policy to them:
"If things don't add up.... In the unlikely event you are charged more than the price shown ON THE SHELF then we will refund double the difference" (or words to that effect)
In the case of the toys / Peppa Pig thigs, you clearly WERE charged more than was shown on the shelf, regardless of human error or old stock labels, so you should have had DTD!!0
