Morning ladies!

A newbie thinking about ttc here! I am 34 and already have a dd who is 2yo.

I have been lurking for a few days now and read (nearly) every post-it took me ages lol!

My DH and myself are definately going to ttc this year but this thread has made me VERY broody!:eek::D
I would ideally like to lose another couple of stones before we start but I do have a time frame in mind. The question I want to ask is when do I come off my pill (I am on Noriday POP)? I don't really want to fall pregnant right now but I want to give my body time to adjust .

When we were ttc the first time I fell pg within 2 months of coming off it (it was another POP-not Noriday).

Any thoughts/experience would be gratefully appreciated.

To everyone out there ttc good luck-I will continue to follow your progress and come out from lurkering (is that a word lol?!) when the time for me arrives and to everyone with BFP's congratulations!

Good question. I think the confusion lies in the fact that not all women do get the eggwhite cm around ov - some get the cloudier stuff AND white stuff.
I think the key is in the texture rather than colour. The sperm needs the thinner watery stuff to help it swim up into the Os (neck of cervix) so I'd say look out for those "wetter" and hornier days

Dusty totally understand. My OH had a brief spell where he couldn't perform on command (well, finish the job actually) in November - I honestly think he felt pressured by me- I'd lost the romance element and was being so clinical about it all and he felt like a donor! I'm not saying that "we MUST do it tonight" any more...I'm just not tellling him when I'm oving so he feels less pressure and we put the love back into it too - well, for the first few minutes and then I just want it over so I can roll over and get into the foetal position, closing my cervix and trapping his tiddlers:rotfl:

Agreed with this - its the texture and consistency of raw eggwhite rather than the colour. Meringue is also bad..

And dusty- OH said the same thing. We now do it for the fun of it rather than when the "machine" said we should (the cbfm which I've stopped using). It kinda killed the romance, left him feeling only good for one thing and me feeling less like a desirable sexy woman and more like some sort of failing incubator...
