The way that I've always done it is to bleach your loo and then pop your brush in there too. Leave it like that over night. Should be as good as new in the morning. However, make sure that people going in the middle of the night are fully aware of your tactics!!! ;D ;D ;DSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0

Aggie and Kim hate loo brushes!!! (got their book the other week!!!) They reckon rubber gloves, paper towels and lav cleaners the way forward!
But they do recommend Vicky's method if you must use one. They say to leave it standing in the bleach then flush the loo over it to rinse and don't forget to clean the brush container. No links in signatures by site rules - Forum Team 20 -
You gotta have loo brush though! Someone who ahem! leaves a few marks in the bowl - ain't gonna pop their marigolds on to get rid but would use a brush (hopefully) :-[ ::)0

i needed a new loo brush so when i was in tesco i saw the new harpic all in one loo brush - with the cleaning spray onside - (it was on offer for 5.90 from 9.99 incluiding one tin of cleaner) and i got to say that i really am pleased with it. I really feel its more hygeinic (sp) and it doesnt look too bad either - you just aim it in the loo - press the spray and wizz round . I always flush the loo after with the brush still in the pan and this seems to help keep it clean(er).

i do the standing it in the bowl, with the bleach thing, and replace it every six months, when it starts to look a bit worse for wear.0

Ahh but think what all those horrid bleaches and harpics are doing to the environment! Dunk brush in a 50% dilution of water and distilled vinegar, leave for a few minutes and then rinse with water inside the toilet, it cleans it beautifully! (Just done it, a few minutes ago, funny enough!)

I loathe loo brushes and yes I put my hand down and wash off any marks
but you wont get a better disinfectant and germ killer than white vinegar for the loo and brush
so just spray it with white vinegar and leave for a while then rinse
then spray again leave it and put back in the holder
till next time
if its badly marked (ewwww) then put it in a container add a mug of vinegar and a handful of bicarb and itll all fizz off
I keep a spray bottle of vineger in the bathroom and each night before entering my boudoir I go in the loo and spray the vinegar on the lav, seat , flush, and cisterna and foot. just a light misting is all you need keeps it germ free and nice and clean
also do the sink and bath just a few squirts
hnadle of the door taps etc

I detest using public loos
before I go out or on hols I take a few sheets of kitchen roll and dip in and out of dish of white vinegar then fold each sheet small and put in plastic bag seal it up
then if you keep the bag in your handbag you can wipe the seat and flush and taps before touching them
cant be too careful especially if your taking the kids into the toilets.
I always give the seat a wipe before I leave the loo for the next person0 -
Don't you just hate it when men leave the seat up...Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change..0
-
NOOOOO
I must be the only woman in the world who insists they leave the seat UP
cos that way you can be sure it was lifted in the first place!!!!!
I have sat in a wet pool on loo seats a few times ICK ICK ICK0
