Probably and hopefully I'm just an isolated case but not very impressed with Ebico.
Applied for gas & elect. on 21 June and received confirmation e-mail. Since then nothing. Contacted them by e-mail numerous times, to which they don't reply and by 'phone. I was promised twice that they would call back after they contacted Southern Electric but still waiting.
Now given up and will wait to see if and by what amount they increase their prices next month and when Martin Lewis advises is the time to switch.0 -

Have you contacted Southern direct? 0800 117 116. Southern's customer care is usually excellent.0 -
Thanks for that 'phone number dave dph (Southern's), I might just try that. However, I doubt the switching application reached Southern Electric.0

Maybe there are loads of applications to switch and they have a backlog; Southern should be able to advise.
I am in the process of switching back to Equipower after a few months with BG Clickenergy. Received confirmation email from Ebico on the 28th July, haven't heard anything from Southern as yet.
It will be good to deal with a company who understand what customer service should be, British Gas are a complete joke! Clickenergy - contact via email they say, I tried... three times to be precise, didn't even get confirmation of receipt let alone a reply! It took exactly two months for my Clickenergy account to become live, but even now when I try to submit meter readings I get an error message.
I'll be glad to get shut of British Gas.0 -
I too have e-mailed them regarding there prices. I explained I was on a capped rate with SP that ends around March next year and I was thinking of switching to them, but was concerned about the rumour of their prices going up. Could they clarify on any of this. I had no reply so sent the e-mail again and still no reply.0

Ebico won't reply to queries about this and if you phone they tell you their prices are under constant revue in the current market. To be fair, their customer service staff will probably only get a few more days notice of the new prices than their customers. We just have to wait.

GAS
Old Gas price 1.94p New Gas price 2.55p, a 31% increase.
If I use 24000 kwh,
Ebico £612 , npower online £571 (-41) & SSEgrp £590 (-22)
If I use 21000 kwh
Ebico £536, npower online £507 (-29) & SSEgrp £521 (-15)
ELECTRICITY
I am in the most expensive region for electricity! I use about 1234kwh per year.
Ebico £140, only 1 beats it, British Gas @ £138 (-2) or British Gas online @ £127 (-13). It is not a saving worth bothering with IMO and it will be a cold day in hell before I go back to British Gas anyway.
DUAL FUEL
Dual Fuel @ 24,000 gas 1234 leccy
Ebico £752, nPower online £719 (-33), SSEgrp £730 (-22)
Dual fuel @ 21,000 gas 1234 leccy
Ebico £676, nPower online £655 (-21), SSEgrp £663 (-13)
*note I save less when selecting dual fuel
So I have decided to go along with the spirit of Ebico and stay with them because the savings aint that great to switch and I will be doing my bit to help those less fortunate than I, and encourage other suppliers to have a fairer pricing structure like Ebico does.
I will, however, endeavour to use less gas this winter than the 24,000 I used in the last year, I'll try to get this years consumption down to 21,000.

Wow, 31% increase for gas and 19% increase for electricity (my area). I wonder how this compares to other providers now.
New prices take effect from 1st Sept.0 -
Hope that this table might help identify the full impact:
