Paid in £200 at a Nationwide branch this morning, so OP this month is £575.

Hope to add another £50 -£75 before the month is out.
I've got a lot of junk scheduled to list tomorrow, so I hope I can get something for most items and reach this target.

We are going out for a meal with friends this evening.

Thank you.

Meal was lovely and came out at £25 per head which included some nice wine.

I usually find that it is easier to pay the 6p per item to schedule the listings than it is to try and list them on the day, because on the day, the site is usually slow with the extra traffic and it can take a lot longer to list.
I've listed 15 items, so it has cost me an extra 90p.

Overpayment for this month is £645.

I'll update the monthly stats tonight (if I am still up at midnight).

Yesterday I took a picture of our house and I am having it made into a 315 piece jigsaw.
Each piece will represent £359 paid off the mortgage.
So as soon as it arrives we'll be able to place 75 pieces.

I'll let OH add the jigsaw pieces each month (he's already commited to giving me another £150 per month from next Febraury).
He seems to be getting a little bit more interested in the MF journey (faffing with spreadsheets a bit more often) and I think it would be fun and keep him motivated.

I also ordered a postcard sized 15 piece magnetic jigsaw that will go on the size of the fridge.
Naturally this one will have pieces added less frequently (each piece will represent £7,533).

I have been asked to work all day this Sunday, so I am going to opt for part payment and a day off, so I should have an extra £200 to add to November's overpayment.
OH gets some of his bonus next month and will be putting some of that towards November's overpayment too.

as an FTB and MFW to be, i love the idea of the jigsaw on the fridge. nothing like a visual reminder to keep you on the straight and narrow

I had an audit today at work and passed with flying colours.

I do owe some of it to one of my colleagues who gave me a 'Wake Up' call at 07:00 and said "The auditor has just walked in - I know you don't start until 13:00 but I thought you might want to know".
Today was one of those days when a 4 minute shower was a necessity.

I got to work for 08:00 and spent 3 hours with the auditor and then got bogged down with loads of minors issues that were not even related to me, so I left work at 14:00.

I told my boss that I would be returning at 19:00 to complete the remaining 2 hours of my shift (contractors are doing a major installation on my department and I needed to meet them before they started the work).

I am signed up for a 10K run in September because a colleague at work bet me that he would finish ahead of me if we both took part in the same race.

The fact that he is male, and several years younger, didn't even enter my head. I'm up for the challenge and the whole store has taken an interest, and they've set up a sweepstake of finishing times.

Like I told him.
"If you win, it would be expected and no great shame for me BUT
If I win, you will have been beaten by an old woman (who also happens to be your boss), and you will never be allowed to forget it."

Neither of us has run 10K, so we both have work to do.

I been on the DFW Running Club thread getting advice.
I just need to crawl past the finishing line before he does.
I should have been running inSeptember but changed the date to an event in October so that my opponent could have more time to train.
Unfortunately, he is currently off work (sick), so didn't take part.

I ran the 10K in 62 minutes today.

There was this awful hilly section that lasted nearly 1K early into the race.
It got a little bit hard in the middle, but I got a second wind at 7K and overall it was quite enjoyable.

I'm considering doing the 10K in Rhyl next week. It is a flat tarmac course which goes out and back taking in the sea view.
It would be nice to run a flat course.

Overpayments so far for this month are £ 515.

I've listed about £100 of stuff on eBay today (includes some dvd boxsets and clothing), which I hope should all sell.

I've got to start looking for insurance for my car (Mini Cooper/Chili Pack 2007).
My renewal arrived yesterday from Swinton and with 10 years NCB, they've found me a policy costing £865 and they attached someone else's insurance certificate (which was for a lot less).
I paid £565 last year.

Looks like a few hours of research are required.

I will be paying for my policy from my cashback saving account funds which has about £600.

I was paid last week and I have an extra £50 due to the SAYE payments being completed.

I'll add that to this month's overpayments.

I'll have £50 extra this month and December, before the payments for my latest SAYE begin in January.

I'll be sub £84,000 by the end of this month and I will have reached my revised target.

I think I'll be starting the MFiT-T2 around £83,000

I posted this comment on my diary last year on the 11th December 2008.

OH hasn't received profit share yet (gets it this month) and I've kept mine as shares and not cashed them in.

Without a drastic reduction in our living standards, we made a large dent in our mortgage in just 11 months.

All thanks to the hints, tips and words of encouragement from the wonderful users of this forum.

I finally sorted something out after much searching.

In 3rd place Direct Line wanted £560
In 2nd place Likewise Insurance wanted £512
1st place goes to FluxDirect that have found me insurance with NIG and I paid them £428.
No cashback through Quidco etc. this year but a much better price which I don't think I can complain about .
My stats: M11 / Female / No points / No accidents in last 5yrs / parked on driveway

I also checked the mortgage this morning and it has gone below £84,000.

I've made this month's £500 overpayment and I hope to add another £250 later this week.

At the weekend I joined the 2010 MFW challenge (run by cake21) and this will run alongside my MFiT-T2 challenge to reduce mortgage by £50,000.
I have pledged to reduce my mortgage by approximately £17,500 in 2010.

I hope that I can do this because I have smashed this year's original target (£9,350) and look set to make a reduction of about £15,000 by the end of December.
I'll probably pay £500 less interest, so I'll still have an extra £2,000 to find to hit that target.

2009 MFW #157 (Target = £84,000)
Nationwide 10 Year Fixed Rate 4.79% started July 2006 = £113,000
YTD / Payment / Overpay / Interest / Reduction / Balance
Oct 31 / 8,970.98 / 7,299.17 / 3,617.81 / 12,652.34 / 84,691.13

Well done on the progress.

one thing we noticed on insurance and Quidco is that a quote from Money Supermarket for Esure and same quote via Quidco to Esure was different by £45. The exact amount they give back on Quidco. there was no option to recover the old quote either.

I've paid in another £225 today, so the overpayments for November now stands at £725.

I hope to add another £100 before the end of the month.
I've listed some stuff on eBay and hopefully, they should fetch at least £100 (maybe more).

I worked some overtime last Sunday evening, and I have some mileage to claim back, so I should have an extra £150 in my pay next week.

It's less than a month to the start of the MFiT-T2 challange.
