I've sold 4 items on eBay for a return of £105 and I am just waiting for the money to turn up in my current account, so that I can add it to December's over payments.
I was paid on Friday and my overtime was included (still waiting on the mileage), plus the extra £50 from the completed SAYE.
I made another overpayment £180 on Saturday morning at a Nationwide branch (it showed up online later that day).
This payment takes my month total to £905.
I will not be adding any more to that total before the end of the month, as I will be spending a few days away in a log cabin in the forest in Keldy, North Yorkshire (nice and cheap - found it on hotukdeals)
I've also checked my Quidco account and they have received £75 from MORE TH>N, so that will be getting paid into my cashback savings account in the next few days.
Even after paying for my car insurance with my cashback money, I still have £300 left over. I think I will leave that money (continue to add to it) and use it pay for next year's insurance and any other car related issues.0 -

Got back from my short break in the forest.
It was lovely, very relaxing and with it being in the middle of the forest, no mobile phone signal meant no bother.
I also made a £500 overpayment today and the mortgage payment will be added next Monday which will be just in time for the start of the MFiT-T2 challange.
The starting balance for the challenge should be around £82,000.0 -

Last month, I bought an Xbox 360 Elite 120GB bundle with 2 current games. It cost me £178 after discounts.
Before I could sell our old 60Gb Premium, I had to send off for a Data Migration Kit from Microsoft (free of charge), so that I could transfer all the stuff off the hard drive.
I took the 2 games to CEX and received £55 cash for them, so that brought the purchase price down to £123.
I received the kit today and everything has been transferred to the new unit.
Now that I have no use for the kit, I looked on eBay to see if it had a resale value, and genuine Microsoft kits are going for between £20 and £30.
Once I put the old console and the Data Migration Kit on eBay, it looks like it will have cost me £0 to upgrade our console and get a brand new 12 month warranty.
That's the OH's Christmas present sorted.0 -
I've taken photos of the Xbox 360 whilst OH was at work (I've got another 4 days holiday and I return to work on Saturday).
I'll list it tomorrow for 5 days (so it ends on Sunday) with a few other items (trainers, DVD boxsets and OH's old mobile phone).
I hope to get about £100 for the console and another £150 for the other items.
I'll let OH know about the Elite upgrade + game (Christmas present) when I have to post it to whoever buys it, so that should be some time next week.
The mortgage payment hit the mortgage account today, so I was able to add a 4th piece to the magnetic jigsaw puzzle on the fridge. Only 11 pieces to go. I'll see how long it takes for OH to notice.
The balance now stands at £81,816.80. :j
I'm going to pay another £325 (money from Cashback savings account) in on Wednesday which should keep balance below £82,000 to the year end.
MFiT-T2 only 5 days to go.0 -
I made an overpayment of £350 yesterday which will be my last one before the start of the MFiT-T2 challenge on 12/12/09.
I will probably make one more payment later on this month (probably another £100), once I sell a few more items on eBay.
My OH's mate has asked us to sell an old AV amplifier and speakers for him and says that we can have half of the net profit, so I'll list them ASAP and hope there is some interest in them.0 -
Well done, great work and good luck for the MfiT challenge0
