Gymfriend – can’t believe xmas lights have been up for a month already! That’s crazy!! Good news about the car too. I hate being without mine!
EA the enchanted forest nursery sounds lovely!
Fishcake that’s rubbish about them getting your date wrong. You think when you are saying your dates are 3 weeks behind theirs, and they are saying no ours are right but your baby is 3 weeks too small they might work it out!!! Nice you get an extra scan though!
Jha, sorry you are so uncomfortable. Hope the physio can help, and soon! when your MW said you should have been doing 30 mins a day on hands and knees or your ball since week 20, is that because you already knew you had probs with baby’s position or is that a general advice thing?? I really need to get my ball soon!
Beenie fab bump!!
Booboo hope your dog is recovering
Fidget so sorry you are in pain and uncomfortable too.
Well I ned to go to sleep now! ONly caught up on half of the chat but will be back on again tomorrow.
Hope Jenny is enjoying mummy cuddles now and big labour vibes to helen, fidget, nancmat, GISI and anyone else who wants them
Night all xx0 -
Thanks for the pushchair help as always ladies:D
I can't sleep so i've been scanning Grabbit and HUKD for some bargains so i can get some things on my baby lists ticked off and i've just bought some nursing bra's from La Redoute for £6 :money: :T
http://www.laredoute.co.uk/style/REDOUTE-CREATION-MINI-PRICE-Pack-of-2-Nursing-Bras.aspx?ProductId=324057618&DocumentId=221809&CompanyId=R&Path=61026618/61036885&source=
They are £21 but i used a £15 off a £20 spend code which also gives free delivery and a free gift! Just hoping they don't cancel my order but i'll take the risk, as always with codes
Thread with codes on HUKD is here0 -
morning everyone.
thanks mgeb, I hope your scan goes well x
Well the bleeding is much heavier this morning and with clots again, grr this rollercoaster.0 -
Nikki, sorry you've been worried
I haven't had a ceasarian or an op like yours but I've done a bit of reading.
The risk of a uterine rupture is very small, less than half of one percent.
There are also things you can do to reduce this risk even further. Trying where possible to avoid being induced is one of these.
Although your scar is still not mended on the outside of your tummy, what's actually really important is how well yo have healed on the inside. It's only if your uterus splits in labour that it is a big problem. If your tummy scar opens you will probably have a few stitches but no really big concern (although not nice!). You could ask your GP/MW about how they think you're healing internally, which might reassure you? If you aren't having bright red period blood then I'd be surprised if your uterus wasn't healing up nicely though.
You also mentioned your scar being vertical rather than horizontal. If anything I think it's safer your way since the reason sometimes given for an old c-section scar to rupture in labour is that the bump suddenly drops as baby fully engages, which all of a sudden stretches the scar, therefore more likely to tear. My logic says that a vertical scar will be gently adapting to a growing tummy throughout a whole pregnancy, rather than getting a short sharp shock.

Thanks for that , I was told all that in hospital , also told it would not do what its doing now , my doc was surprised that it still not healed yesterday , he also said , that because it still keeps opening , i will have this right up until bubs comes out, thats why i am worried now , i did ask about giving birth , he just said he honestly didnt know as he had not encoutered the problems i have been having , i am really bringing myself to be that 1%, i have some dressings which nurse put on yesterday and after a bath have stayed on so i am hoping this is going to make the healing a little better and faster

Nikkit - Have they reccommended a c-section at all? I would trust that they are advising you as best as poss though. I wish i had some more advice for you. Weezle's post seemed to make a lot of sense though.
no they have said they will be trying to avoid a cs as much as poss due to all complications i had with this op after,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -

Morning everyone
I was meant to come back on last night but we had a busy day, MW arrived just after i got out the shower, so had to sit there with very wet hair lol.
My BP is fine and babys HB is 136-147bpm and very strong.
Apaprently i dont have a 25wk appointment with her, its with my doctor, so hopefully he'll give me by HipG form. She said to call her when im 22 weeks and she'll drop off my MatB1 form and book me in to see her at 28 weeks for more bloods, etc.
Then we went to mothercare to measure me for a bra, pre preg i was 36DD im now 40DDI felt like i had to buy a bra from there so i got a 2 pack for £24, and they are sooo comfey
And we also bought some pink PJ's with kittens on hehe.
Also got some baby coat hangers in the 99p shop, so im glad as i've been looking for them for ages. I have clothes that need to be hung up
Congrats to new people that have joined, and labour vibes for those who want them0 -

I don't think it is, but that's a good price for the pram and car seat!
Big hugs to MGEB and MERFE. Hope things settle down for you both over the weekend.
SJ- the cupcakes cound lovely. Were they for an anniversary or something?
It is a really miserable, wet day here today which is a real shame. Off to see family later, then hoping to drag hubby to the farmers' market tomorrow to pick up some goodies.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
