    What coupons?
does anybody know where there are any? Me and a few friends are willing to give them a try - just need to know where there are some of these coupons.
Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional :p

Yes I must confirm it is at the discretion of each individual store manager whether or not they want to follow the official policy.....if your store accepts coupons great, but don't expect all of them to.

It is not at the discretion of the store manager to accept vouchers - it is a national policy, some stores do not follow the policy but when complaints are made then they do.
  • as i said earlier, surely by this you are obtaining goods that the voucher does cover - sounds very similar to obtaining property by deception !!!

Popped to Tescos tonight and it was mental!! I have never seen so many people in the store! There were so many people with coupons and very full trollys. Within 5 minutes of me being there they announced over the tanoy that in 2 mins they will not be accepting internet vouchers the store emptied within 30 seconds!

Think word of this has spread so quick it could be over before it started!

And as I walked out with a very small bag some chavy kid offered me £90's worth of vouchers for £30!!!

So did you say that to Martin Lewis when he put it in his email last month, or when he mentioned it on TV, etc? :rotfl:

The subject has been done to death several times over on the discount codes & vouchers board. It's not deception because the customer isn't deceiving the retailer. The retailer has a stated policy to allow certain types of coupons as payment so the customer can use them legitimately. The retailer then redeems the coupons with the manufacturers based on overall sales of those products, this has been going on for years and manufacturers know it.

As has been said, Waitrose allow this too, within reason.

Please don't- you risk ruining their voucher policy for all of us- they take vouchers at the moment, if everyone (or even just too many) abuse the system, they will pull it.

I agree to a certain extent if the voucher is used for a product that has been purchased. But when the system is abused we all lose out. However, on the other hand if the shops are dull enough to go ahead with it leave them carry on.

I find tescos over priced anyway even with a discount voucher used.

I don't use coupons, just stating facts.

It is not the customer that commits any fraud, they offer the coupons as payment and Tesco accept. If Tesco then go on to redeem them with suppliers against the suppliers t&cs then its Tesco who you claim are committing fraud not the customer.
