    regilar 8 days bank holidays and im currently on 24 days hol . Thats it though no more benefits apart fromt he usual pension and flexi

    I get 1/2 day off Maundy Thursday, day off for Queen's birthday(?!) and an extra day at Christmas. My Mum worked for local gov and she didn't get them either.

    civil servant £32K 30 days annual leave plus 12 bank holidays (New Year's day, St Patrick's, 2 @ Easter, 2 in May, 2 in July, 1 in Aug, 3 @ Christmas) flexi, car parking space, final salary non contributory pension, paid sick leave, 6 months paid maternity leave (further 6 months if wanted - not full pay), access to low cost private med insurance. I've cheered myself up no end listing these!!!!

    I'm 28. I'm a scientific business development executive. Earn around £45,000 per year. Final salary pension scheme. 40-odd days holiday + up to 2 weeks extra leave allowed to do voluntary work. I count myself as pretty lucky.
    The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes.
