    We're skint this year with going self employed and I'm thinking about this offer. If you were being really honest, are these places OK? I know they're going to be basic but are they clean and can you escape elsewhere if the camp get's too much?

    My OH just told me he went to Butlins once with his ex and they took one look at the place and got in the car to go home! :confused:

    pontins/butlins are basic, but are fantastic for kids.

    We went to Pontins at brean Sands about 2 years ago. Yes the accomodation is basic but it was clean and there was entertainment for the kids and we all had a great time.

    Thanks to the OP for this, this is def my nomination for post of the month!

    If you cant go on the dates they offer, you can upgrade to one of their half price short breaks. I've been offered Fri - Sun, Presatyn, N.Wales £115 for the six of us! Gotta check dates with hubby before I can book it!

    There must be a special offer on this becuase the whole bounty forum including myself have had the upgrade to club for £30.
