I am a single mother of 2 and am living in child poverty . i have had to recently give up due to ill health and childcare issues, so i rely on coupons to save money when i am doing my grocery shopping. today when paying for my shopping i handed over my coupons printed from this site and they were refused, i proceed by asking why they said that all tescos have stopped taking coupons that have been printed off of the internet even if you have bought the product. the cashier called the team leader who also said it was now like it in all tesco stores everywhere?
Is anyone else having the same problem with the internet coupons in tesco? Should have I been refused?

Hi, this is not related your problems with tescos but have you had a full benefit check to ensure you are getting all you are entitled to. You can do this via cab, unemployed workers centre or your local council's welfare rights service.

Its not right that you should be struggling like this.

if none of the supermarkets are taking these internetprintable coupons there thereisnt much point of the being on the internet is there?

I don't think anyone will get far complaining to Couponet that Tesco won't take their coupons - unless, of course, the correct item has been purchased ! Tesco shouldn't really be taking ANY coupons if we haven't bought the right item so its a bonus when they do take them

I thought I'd read on MSE that it was Tesco's national policy to accept all coupons, whether people bought the product or not?

You can argue whether it's right or wrong, but I thought that was their written policy and each store had a copy you could point them to if individual till operators argued about it?

But the small print appears to give Store Managers discretion to overide the national policy.

My 3 tesco stopped taking internet coupons since January 2009. It was the Store Managers discretion too. This is due to some regular ebay sellers altering the internet coupons & selling it on ebay. Or some ppl scanning the coupons & re-using it over & over again.

Some of you from the above posts doesn't like us ppl using coupons but as far as I am concerned if you don't like to use coupons thats your choice!

Cazzie85, did you read Discount Codes 'n Vouchers "printable coupons" on the 1st or 2nd row of this forum. As for you KimYeovil - this will not be suitable for you.

Not me Dr Who Who !!! I love coupons - my problem is that, due to alleged abuse, my local Store Manager has ruled 'only 10% - and then only if you are very lucky, the CA is in a good mood, there is an 'X' in the month, its a leap year and the average day time temperature reaches 99 degrees for the whole month!

In other words, not on your Nellie!!! I am currently in dispute with him but am not holding my breathe for a favourable outcome.

I visited 2 Tescos today and used internet coupons (without buying the named product) in both stores without any problems. So I don't think it is Nationwide They also took the £5 morrisons one as well. Upsy x

i bought three boxes of kelloggs cereal from tesco, went home printed off the free box coupon and a few days later returned to the same store and picked up the exact product.
Then they refused to take the coupon.

Hi Ya, I used couponnet vouchers in Tesco today as well and they took them ok. They are in Northern ireland. In fact I recieved 5 x £10.00 off £30.00 spend for particular Tesco stores. I have used them in my own store and they have accepted them too, even though they are not one of the stores specified on the coupon.
