I will certainly be looking at ebid now.
Posting games can cost me up to £2, why should I take that out of my money and then the ebay fees.
Thieves.
Add it on to the starting price - the buyer still pays fvor it, but assumes iot is "free", instead of "inclusive"<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Oh I plan to. No way I'm paying for postage out of my pocket.stevew8975 wrote: »Add it on to the starting price - the buyer still pays fvor it, but assumes iot is "free", instead of "inclusive"0 -
Hopefully this will help reduce the vast number of 99p listings that are swamping the site at the moment.
Predictable bait and switch technique - get loads of people hooked in with the free listings under 99p, then change the rules to ensure people start listings at more than 99p to cover postage charges - and collect more in FVF.
I guess we'll start seeing the equally predictable "boycott eBay" threads starting soon....<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

That's why I have been so surprised at the lack of the usual ebid regulars although their forums are also slowing to a mere few posts a week now.
Still makes a change from the who leaves feedback first threads.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Video Games:
Accessories
Games
Internet Game Accessories
Merchandise / Books
Seems quite harsh to now include some sections from videogames such as accessories. Accessories can range from a mouse for a console upto something like a steering wheel what can cost upto £10 to post! Also some games like ps1 or pc in their full sized boxes will have to be sent as packet, therefore higher p&p costs. These changes are starting to make ebay's free listings for "99p of less" pointless...0 -

they were never free to start with - it was a technique used to get more revenue, more sellers on the site and more items listed.
eBay is not a charity - everything they do, without exception, is ultimately for revenue.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

When I am sending a dvd size box I charge £2 for postage.
The jiffybag costs around 30p.
Postage is around 98p.
The rest is my effort and petrol to get to the PO.0 -

Add £2.15 to your start prices then to cover the P&P as well as the increased fees.
Simples. Says the meerkat.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
