I am tempted to switch my gas/elec/phone/broadband to Utility Warehouse - anyone have any good/bad thoughts or experiences about this company.

Thanks in advance.

I have been with Utility Warehouse for 3 yrs and would not change to anyone else now. I have Gas, Electric, Landline and Broadband, which gives me free calls to any landline 24/7. My monthly bill for the 4 services, phone calls included, averages £100.00. They give a triple guarantee, they will always be cheaper than the "big 6" and they are! ALWAYS! they monitor all prices and keep theirs below all the others. The customer service is second to none! they have one office in London and your call is guaranteed to be answered in 15 seconds, and it is! no foreign call centres and hanging on for ever! the bill arrives around two weeks before they will take it out of your bank by Direct Debit, so it gives plenty of time to make sure you have it in the bank ready. I have been so impressed with Utility Warehouse that I have now become an Independent Distributor, my whole family has joined and are very, very pleased with the prices and service they recieve. I don't know if I am allowed to say anything on this site, but my e'mail is chris.chaz@uwclub.net if anyone would like any information.

Miss Chrissy, no, you're NOT allowed to say anything on this board, especially if it's positive! LOL

Seriously though, touting for business is not allowed and no doubt your post wil be reported. If you want to post, try to find a forum that is less discriminatory. UWDC provide an alternative and let people make their own minds up about what is the right choice for them.

As you are a distributor, surely you know the triple guarantee you wrongly quote to us is worthless.

They don't claim to be cheaper than the big 6, though you obviously have made this claim and mislead all your family and friends who rightly don't expect to be ripped off by a family member.

And you break the rules by using this forum to advertise your business and tout for custom with your e-mail address.

Not if they are deliberately mislead by their distributor as Miss Chrissy clearly does with her false claims about them being the cheapest.

I don't actively promote UWDC, or associate myself with the company, as I believe (IMO) it negative to what I do and this can be seen from the postings on this forum, (from a lot of other people)re the company -

Although I've only quoted part of Energyman's post, this is the bit I'd like to comment on!

If you think UWDC is in conflict with what you do or you simply don't agree with the way they operate etc, why don't you just resign your distributorship? Genuine question btw, I don't get why you continue to be a distributor, then come on this forum to debunk it.

Just seems a bit pointless representing a company that you don't feel comfortable with?

.

It doesn't conflict - it has products which I actually feel are good and I have stated this on these boards in the past, and I actually use some of their products, - it is another company that is ' out there' - if people want it then they can have it.

I just feel that the energy products are very poor value - another contributor quoted them as being the 41st best energy product according to a comprison site! - I feel this is contridicted by the triple value guarentee!

If their distibutors (and customers) weren't so brainwashed into believing that they were cheapest then these forums would not be such intersting places!

If you check on the home pages of just about every big 6 energy company they each claim to save the potential punter money. Which one is telling the truth, I wonder?

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
• Hey all,

I am involved with utility warehouse (very part time- as I am a mature student) but more importantly I would never give out advice that I don't follow myself.

If your interested in getting a bill that is always competetive with the major energy suppliers- all on one easy to pay/file/manage bill, with the opportunity to get a significant amount of money off your bill by signing up friends/family/associates then this is exactly what the utility warehouse offers you as a 'customer gatherer'.

BUT... YOU CAN DEFINATELY GET IT CHEAPER by getting your utilities individually, and not every utility
warehouse service is seriously competitive-BUT ALL THE MAJOR UTILITIES ARE. I personally think its a GOOD deal- Are you really going to search out the best deals all the time. Have you up till now? Its NOT AN AMAZING deal (what these days is?). It is likely to make your life easier- and save you a bit of money- occasionally a fair chunk of money (but perhaps not if your using this web site).

To answer a post above...

My experience is that anyone who begins to sign up a large number of people and gets close to 'free bills'- is so good at it, and so enthused by it- that they take the next step and become a distributor (because you make more money that way-you get a small but useful signing up fee- and you can grow a serious small businesses being a distributor). I can't remeber the small print.... But what difference does it make if you get 80 or 90% off your bill? Thats a lot of money!

I really can't understand the negativity towards this company. Its a company. It has good points and bad points, like other companies do. I'm affraid its not an energy charity, lol; it is what it is, and what it is is what it says it is. All I'll say, is that not many people leave once they've joined- And those that do probably want to write about it- its the same with any bad experience.

Best of luck saving money guys, wherever it is that you find it!

UW reps often break the board rules by attempting to use the pm system to get us to contact them for an "explanation" of their business!
