I opened a bank account for £20, I didn't make a MSE account just to tell people they were boring. I think that smacks a lot more of having too much free time.
£20 x2 for me and my partner is my petrol for a week, or a meal out, or half the money we need to get a digital camera for our holidays. If you don't believe it's worth your time taking care of your finances, you are on the wrong website.

God what a waste of time, logging onto this website and finding a 2for1 voucher, then printing it off... just to save (approx) £10 on a main course! :rolleyes:Lost lbs =

I guess I'll be alone but I think taking advantage of someone's mistake is not very nice.
Clearly, somebody at ING made an error and, thanks in part to MSE, it has cost them dearly - or rather, it will cost their real customers dearly.
There's a line that needs to be drawn between 'consumer greed' and 'consumer revenge' IMHO. The banks are in real trouble at the moment and kicking them while they are down is out of order - again, IMHO.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -

i assume that when ING were deciding to run this offer they know exactly how much they want to pay out on these kind of promotions so when they had filled their quota of new accounts they closed the offer.
seems like good business sense to me - a lot cheaper than tv advertising as well.
you can still open an account with them if you want - i am sure some people still will to take advantage of the ok-ish interest rate.0
