Sounds lush - are you willing to share the recipe:D

Oh go on then! Put saucepan on, pour in 2 pints of milk. Wait for it to boil up. Get 3 big tablespoons of rice flour (I think I said rice flower in my previous post, lol) and put in a bowl, take some of the warm milk out and mix it up. Do it continuously so it does not clump. Once it is like a thick paste, pour it back into the saucepan with the almost boiled milk. Mix continuously until the milk and the rice flour begin to thicken. As soon as this happens, turn the cooker off. Keep mixing. Add a few tablespoons of sugar, a few drops of rose water, and a few pinches of ground nuts. Mix for a while longer. Pour into little dessert bowls/glasses. Put in fridge and then serve cold.

Its like a lovely thick creamy milky dessert which has a kick of rose water and nuts to it, and its very sweet. Goes down a treat at ours, and it takes a whole 5 to 10 minutes to make.

Don't know if anyone has seen this, its on one of the other "Boots" posts on the Grabbit pages, but it seems like its something we could all do!!
I too am totally fed up with Boots and never managed to get an order through as site kept crashing. And my basket is full of items that they say are apparently out of stock!

You may wish to call Consumer Direct (Trading Standards) 08454 04 05 06. I've just called and they are very interesed in misleading price changes! Open till 1pm today.
We all need to make our feelings known!

If enough of us make our feelings known, they might take up our case & then, who knows what Boots will have to do!

We won't know, if we don't try!! I'm not trying to make trouble for Boots, but I cannot see how they can justify selling items at 100% of the price, when most were always sold at 342 or cheaper, after offering them for 75% & only removing the 75% because their systems were unable to cope!! Its not a justified reason!!

They should have suitable systems in place to:

    a) Limit the items available to buy in a single order (eg: 5 or less - unless goods like Slimfast)
    b) Check that their system is "suitable & fit for purpose" in advance, as they must be able to anticipate the extra traffic a sale will generate, especially in this "credit crunch"

At least, they should put the prices back to the 50% off level! And then award points for the difference. If they could cope with the level of sales at 50%, then they should be able to cope when they put it back to that level again!

    IMHO, anyway!! :p
