No guarantee that everything will sell at prices above what they've paid for it. They might be left with an even bigger pile of stuff than they had to start with or will have to sell it off so cheaply that they won't make any extra money.
I would assume that the new stuff being delivered to stores is coming from a central warehouse, rather than being bought in now. Retailers don't just keep stock in their shops.0 -
