What a shame!
I never got the chance to come and see the programme being filmed but I did watch every episode from the comfort of home.
At least there's no reflection on the quality and success of the programme. (Regarding the 'repeatability' factor, I know that the content dates very quickly, but I would have thought there could have been a repeat showing later in the week on Fiver or something?)
Never mind - with the current financial climate, you won't be short of work, Martin!0 -
Hi Martin,
Why not film/record it yourself and release it as a Podcast/Vodcast - I know it's 'public service programming', but I'd be prepared to pay a small yearly subscription to receive it.
You've 10's of thousands of people who read these forums, so I'd guess that uptake should be fairly good?
Regards, John0 -
Awwwwww.................no more gold piggies.............*sigh*.;)
I hope the 'It Pays To Watch' team are soon back in employment.
PS Why don't you close/lock the thread in the IPTW board.;)10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -

I like the idea of a podcast.

I missed the last episode of the last series as my Sky+ failed to record it correctly
Naturally, I went to the demand.five.tv site to watch it on demand as I am supposed to, yet the programme was clearly on the site (the last 2 episodes in fact) but there was no way possible to download/stream/buy it even though I was fully logged in and had funds in my acount.
I've been hassling the demandfive support team for 2 weeks without any obvious help from them...all they keep saying it to keep an eye on the site for an updates to my query and the show has now been taken off completely because of the length of time since the last transmission.
I'm p*ssed off as I love the show and STILL really want to see the last episode...I've even tried YouTube with no luck.
Has anyone else mentioned this to you Martin?
I've just sent DemandFive another e-mail asking them to fix the problem and re-instate the last episode so that I can watch it as I requested.
Can anyone help or upload the programme somewhere for me to watch?0 -
Sorry to see it end and all the best to the IPTW staff
The video content for the articles sounds exciting, my favourite from the series was the [strike]champagne[/strike] savings fountain.
I wonder whether this means a return for Martin's Money Mutterings (and the little MSE Squeezyball)

That's sad to see the programme to go. It was a useful and informative programme which had loads of tips and tricks on it.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

RIP IPTW - having been on one of the features and in the audience I can honestly say it will be muchly missed in our household! It was about the only way I found to get everyday financial stuff into my darling husband. He may deal with company finances and accounts all day but "home" finances was only of interest if Martin and Ruth fed it to him in bites that didn't bore him...
On the other hand I'm glad for Martin in a strange wayHaving seen how knackered he was after filming I think it will be good for him (and the MSF!!!) to have a little "Martin" time
It will be missed, and SHAME on Five! But maybe someone like BBC will pick up the torch when Martin has had a rest?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Awww thats so sad!
Was a great programme and got many new people hooked onto money saving. Hope Ruth stays in touch on here!
I'm glad I came to the filming of the show, had a great time and your time afterwards spent with our group was fantastic!I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing
