You now send another letter to them and say that you are not satified with that and that you now need a final response (if this letter from Egg does not include the wording of "final response". Its not the end yet, you just need to send another letter out.

What dates were these PPI applied to your cards??? Then we can see about the TSB one. I am going off line for a while now but should be back on about 8 ish so hold fire and you are now in the right place;)

Just get another letter done to Egg and post all the details of the dates of both on here. Di may be one in a little while or Tiggrae or anyone else so they may help but if not i will be back later.
    HI Daz,

If your loan was taken after 01.12.2001 take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman service - you can download their complaint form from their website - they are taking quite long to deal with complaints 6-9 months, so your other alternative is starting court proceedings - but if you can wait I would recommend the FOS as going to court can be quite fraught !!!
  • Hi Tiggrae just to let you know its ppi on a c .card not a loan does that make any difference ? and it was opened after 2001 .

    hi dazman
Glad you've found your way here lol......:D

I take it its Lloyds TSB Credit card ppi complaint then ?

Mine right now is in with the FOS, its in the waiting stage to be passed onto the Adjudicator and can take sometime, this will also depend on how complex the case is.

If you have received your final response and they have added a leaflet of the financial ombudsman service (FOS) or have even added this on the letter then complain to the FOS now.

Lloyds TSB can be right toughies and will try to get out of anything.

    Di.

    hi Darren,

No it doesn't - what matters is when egg came under the jurisdiction of the Financial Ombudsman service

I assume you are talking about both the credit cards here.?? TSB and Egg?? Di has told you what to do about the TSB one and the Egg one you know is within the jursidiction of the FOS.

You know you said you had received letters from them both, do any of these have final response on them at all???

If they do not then you need to send another letter to say you are still not happy (if you are not happy with the offer from the TSB too) and that if they do not respond to your complaint about their misselling in your favour with a final response then you shall be taking your complaint to the FOS. You have to give them 8 weeks to give this final response but the 8 weeks start from when you sent in the first letter. You need the wordings "final response" on the letters for you to take your complaints to the FOS.

If you need any more help then shout away.
  • I have sent a letter to First-Plus about mis-selling of insurance that went with loan, i have told them i was never told it only lasts for 5 years. They have said I will have a reply by the 18th sept i will let you know what happens. Has any one been successful with First-plus?

Depends on when the loan was taken out. Some people are being offered a no admission thing of 78% but most complaints post 2005 taken to the FOS are being won. Laini won on here against Firstplus through the FOS and also another some months ago. Both complaints were a battle though through the FOS and they did not give it away so to speak. Just keep battling and don't give in. These policies that they sell are front loaded and also only cover 5 years of the loan. They cost a fortune in the end and should be banned. The terms on these policies are also not right in that you only get a small refund back if you cancel.

Let us know the date this was added and then we can look at some other cases on here and give you more of an idea.

Just an opinion of mine. ANYONE sold a Firstplus policy should be refunded automatically because of these terms. :D

    Good luck
