Time to declare spend as over the £60 at £116.47 :o . However actually only spent £33.48 cash after coupons etc, so quite pleased as was more concerned with cutting what it actually cost me than what I spent! So is still :j for me lol

Think will up it slightly for next month though and try and come in closer for actual spend, as sadly can't see coupons going on forever and need to try and cut back a bit anyway.

Hooray for everyone who made it though, and lets keep trying for those of us that missed! :D

See everyone on the next thread :T

  • I went slightly over in August coming in at £207.53. Have been entertaining a few more times this month so don't feel too bad about going over. Well done on everyone who managed to stay within budget and good luck for Sept :)
  • Please can I declare at £195.72 for August, although I don't think I was actually on the list. Although we are underbudget this month, we did do some eating out from the holiday budget, so it's probably not as good as it should be, but we have still got a lot of food in. See you in September....
  • Hi All,
I haven't posted as much as i'd like but i have been reading most of the posts.
I'd like to declare £190.23 for august:j £9.77 under budget.
Congratulations to all those how came in on or under budget, and well done for all those who didn't, but tried, how much worse would it be if you hadn't tried.
I'm off over to the september gc to post my new budget.

Just scraping in under budget at £487.24. We got back from 4 days in London Fri night. I included lunch spends whilst away (want to Mr S for picnic stuff and also had a McDs) but not evening meals out. Breakfast was already paid for - got a discount for doing it online beforehand and the kids ate free. Needless to say we all breakfasted well! :rotfl: :rotfl: Also brought back the coffee & sugars we didn't use from our room (used all the tea and some more!) :D I have no scruples about doing so, as we *could* have used them in theory and the hotel was quite frankly not up to standard (yes, we did complain)

Can't believe how far Sept thread has already got - I've spent ages catching up on all the posts and was gutted yesterday when MSE was down :D

Well done to everyone - whether you made budget or not - just by attempting the GC everyone is a winner! :T

A no spend day yesterday (thank goodness - I needed it), am feeling a little lonely now everyone is moving over to the september thread, will keep plodding on, I get paid on the 20th hence being later in the month, maybe if (when) I can ever get ahead of myself will try and work from month end to month end - can't imagine it'll be for a while!
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
