A hobby? I'd more call it a passion, and it would probably be marathon running and adventure racing. I'm even planning to challenge myself further by trying the world of ultra running soon...
Until this year I didn't really have a hobby, unless mooching around on the internet counts?
This year though I have found British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) to go and watch, so this is now my hobby.
I also do cross-stitching, when I can tear myself away from the laptop.

Funnily enough I was thinking back to when you were a bit of a salsa dancer Martin when I went to see Hemmingway's Havana at the Fringe Festival last night.
The dancers in the show were excellent but no stripy shirts
Martin has asked me to tell you that I'm the Board Guide of the Telephones, Reclaim Bank Charges, Silver Savers and Scotland boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and I can move and merge threads there. Hmmm I'm a bit of a money geek with a spreadsheet so that takes up some time (although certainly not enough to be a hobby!)
Other than that, I love going out for a blast on my motorbike with my partner/friends - even on my own! And photography, I'm not brilliant by any means, but I do enjoy it!
I love being scared (theme parks!), I'll have a go at most sports, I can't concentrate on something that doesn't require input for long periods of time (i.e. most films don't hold my attention, however non-drawn out computer games are good - wii's great!), and I hate watching sport.
I have photography, which ties in with my other hobbies of travel, walking etc. Sometimes make money from this by photographing weddings etc, but its a hobby, not a job.
It used to be gardening, and I once bred beautiful show budgies, and had various other birds.
Now - MSE .
Although my sons and I collect miniature railway stuff with the hope of eventually having room to build a model railway (steam era) - but mainly only at Christmas and Birthday times.
I do collect Orchids though.

I try to jump out of a plane at least once a month and scuba dive whenever I can. All other adrenalin activities (in the warmth- no skiing!) are open play as well!
Add to the very regular rugby training and games, and any other social sporting.
Recently, kongregate has got me rather addicted too!

I've just signed up. It may be good for player v player, but it's not much use if you want to play a computer. It's awful! I just played a game on level 10 and the highest it scored was 34!
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
No wonder folks 'down south' think Carlisle's north of the border.
My hobby is on hold at the moment, as having horses + saving for a house = But as soon as I've got that house bought and paid for, I'll be back in the frugal stakes saving for another horse. In the meantime, I guess moneysaving is my hobby/passion/addiction/heeeeeeelp.... I get withdrawal symptoms from saving when I need to spend a penny!

I enjoy making greeting cards - probably doesn't save money but it has given me a social life with clubs etc. I make curtains and cushion covers - which does save money.
I also enjoy letterboxing, which can be frustrating when somebody moves the box - often unintentionally when the not so clever dogs find them and present them to the owner who has no idea where it came from - but it adds to the fun (umm sometimes).
BTW this is my first ever post - been too scared to in the past - silly me!
