Please Can Anyone help or advise me. Hope it make sense.

Sent template letter to CitiFinancial(CF)ref a loan taken out in Dec 06. Recieved a letter yesterday more or less saying take a hike. You agreed and signed everything required of you and also you were given time by yourselves to read before you signed.

My challenge was that i have signed for life cover which i do not need and this was made clear at the appointment. Also disability cover has been signed for which I am not covere for as I have made a claim on a previous insurance with them again my. Again my illnesses were made clear at signing. Also it was not made clear to us that the PPI was optional just what is stated on the paperwork which we never had time to read as everything was done in a hurry. other than photocopying or personal documents we were not left alone.

They have also saythat the manager would have filled out a checklist before we signed to make sure we understood what we were signing. Surley this could be filled out prior to us being there and given to us to sign on completion,as we were not told of this either. They have sent a leaflet for the Financial and Leasing Agency if we would like an independant review.

Is it worth me pursuing this through the FO?

Maybe i am being nieve in thinking this might mis selling

yes it is mis selling, take your complaint to the financial ombudsman, you can download a complaint form from their website - send a copy to citi as well as 'a courtesy' !

    Quick question:

Can Lloyds TSB ask for two £10 fees for SAR?
I have had a request from Lloyds TSB bank and sent them the £10
I now have another request from Lloyds TSB general insurance also asking for £10.

Only ever had dealing with the bank directly so this doesn't seem fair?

Also annoyed they have taken over 20 days from making the sar request to ask for the money and are telling me they will start the 40 day clock ticking from when fee is recieved! - is this kind of stalling allowed?

Does anyone know if I should pay the both requests for £10? Really need to send off tomorrow if so.

I know some do request £10 for each person, joint or not, I received a SAR from Lloyds, on my own request, yet some of my hubby's info was enclosed, as we have a joint bank account.

If your not sure hun there is a 24 hr 7 day a week tel number you could ring, maybe they could tell you, just to be on the safe side.;)

You should be able to find the tel contact no on www.lloydstsb.com

Thank you very much indeed, that is wonderful, I have not got a clue about working out these calculations, and very happy you have done this for me, I apreciate this very much, a BIG thanks to you.

Can I just ask where you said the payment must have been actually £214.91,
does that mean that is what it worked out what they really did charged me sort of thing, comparing this to that amount of £208.51 on the agreement ?
And was the calculation including the rebate of £1.553 odd that Endeavour deducted off when settled ?

Sorry for the questions, just want to make sure before I request this on the reclaim, thank you so much your fantastic.;)

    Hi,

I originally posted the message below on Thursday 17/07/08 but can't see any response yet...

    "Evening,

I sent 3x letters to Abbey last week and have received a form back today requesting completion of a short questionnaire. It asks for details of my employment & financial status at the time of borrowing(s). It is quick to mention failure to complete will result in my complaint being upheld and not investigated further.

Should I complete this & if so, is this common practice?

I look forward to a response!

    Thanks."

I have read the paperwork again and it basically advises without the requested information they will not be able to investigate my complaint properly, they also have given me 14 days to provide it.

Has anybody else come acroos this with Abbey?

I look forward to some help & advice, soon hopefully!

    All the best,

    Sam

Hi Sam yes it's common practice for abbey to send questionnaires - complete it but make sure you don't answer any questions in such a way that prejudices your case

I have been checking out Money Saving Expert site and dug out all my loan paperwork just incase I can make a claim. I looked at all the information on Money Saving Expert, but cannot find anything on reclaiming PPI from internet loans.
On looking at my paperwork I know I took out PPI as it gives the amount I will be charged (£3,657.00 or £42.64 per month). At the time I was self-employeed (as I still am now) which it states on the paperwork. So was I mis-sold?? Am I able to make a claim?

    Any help/advice greatly appreciated.
