  • hi, i work on the customer service desk at the Ilkeston branch, our policy is ONE complimentary coupon. Eg

You have coupon for Eggs. If you haven't got the product but Tesco stock it (it doesn't have to be stocked at that store, but as a company we do) we will let you use the coupon, if you have TWO coupons for the same product you must be buying at least one. If you have THREE then you must by two of that product. We get loads of people in with coupons as long as we sell it you are allowed to use the coupon. :T

you just have to make sure they are in date, and that they are clear. Also all the details are on there, like we need abit that says 'to the retailer'.

oh yeah again, we also except vouchers from ASDA, SAINS, & MORRISONS...BUT they have to be money off shopping ones, like £4.00 of a £40 shop, they can't be money of an individual product.

    good luck!

Doesn't help me as i have no idea if my local store excepts internet coupons that seems to change with each cashier. But hopefully this will help someone else.

If the cashier will not except them, after your transaction pop down the customer service desk, and tell them, they should just scan and give you the cash, or pop it on to the card you paid with. Just say, you know the policy and this is the first time you've shopped at this particular tesco and have never had this problem.

Thats what a lot of peeps say to me if they come to the desk, and it all fine, the cashier is told after, as we pass it on to the checkout manager or go tell them ourselves, a lot more fun! lol

    good luck when you try.

The problem with this idea is the people on Customer Services have no idea if the store excepts internet coupons. I called and she had no idea. So going after buying my shopping isn't really going to get me any where. As so many people have said before they can make you feel like your stealing from them. I have re-emailed Tesco twice now asking about this and i just get the same answer because i don't think their head office knows. I keep being told internet coupons are at the discretion of the manager so i have asked what does Larkfields Tesco's manager say. I'm not interested in taking 25 coupons so i don't have to pay for my shopping i just want to go in and not feel like a theft when i hand over coupons.

Andy - I have to tell you & all the MSE users that you are not right in saying that so long as any Tesco stock the product on the coupon. I know for a fact from several managers that it must be stocked in the one you are using the coupon in and also we don't take the DM book one.
You might want to check on it, I had always believed what you do until I was informed.
