I've just been talking to my daughter on the phone and she told me about an OS thing.

She was watching breakfast tv this morning and there was a feature on people reducing their household bills. There was a woman on who grew her own fruit and veg and then produced a box of snails from the fridge. I thought my daughter was going to say that this woman cooked and ate them, but no, she uses the slime on her face as a wrinkle cream!!!! Yeeragh, yeeragh and double yeeragh  . I told my OH expecting him to express disgust as he doesn't like creepy crawlies and makes a big fuss abut spiders, but he said oh yes Gok Wan had some face creams on that had snail slime in them.

I post it here in case anyone wants to use it, but it is DEFINITELY NOT one for me.

As desperate as I may be, I'll be doing without that :rotfl:

I used to do this when the twins were babies ... and used old thin cut up towels as wipes too -ideal for bums :j as id wipe dirty botties with a bit of tissue first then clean up with small damp towel ... they all got bunged in the washer at the end of the day with the terry nappies and the other washing!!
never had smelly clothes/nappies even on a 30 wash :D

putting used tissues in a nappy wash... now that really is O.S.

    :D T.

If you leave a fiver in your back pocket and wash the jeans, can the police catch you for money laundering  :rotfl:

They used to sell placentas to L'Oreal to make lipstick and mosterisers so it doesn't surprise me (I trained at a hospital which supplied them - 10p per placenta - since the mad cow outbreak they stopped and now burn them)

Though I have heard some companies use sheeps placentae now comparatively speaking snail slime seems rather normal

You know that sawdusty stuff that you get at the bottom of cereal packets....well when I'm getting to the lat portion of cereal, I sieve the dusty stuff out and use it in the next batch of Twinks

I mix this with crumble topping, have used Weetabix, Cornflakes or Fruit n Fibre, I think it tastes much better with a little extra.
Haven't tried the famous Twinks yet, must have a go soon.
