I mix this with crumble topping, have used Weetabix, Cornflakes or Fruit n Fibre, I think it tastes much better with a little extra.
Haven't tried the famous Twinks yet, must have a go soon.

Have often wondered if I could use this better, usually just mix back into cerials but will now try and be more inventive hon:T  x

Remember never to reuse a stamp by fixing it with selotape. If Royal Mail can't cancel the stamp they will raise the cost of the postage at the other end plus the admin charge.

yes, I did that one once. I felt really bad about the person at the receiving end - haven't done it again, learnt my lesson!

I've just been talking to my daughter on the phone and she told me about an OS thing.

She was watching breakfast tv this morning and there was a feature on people reducing their household bills. There was a woman on who grew her own fruit and veg and then produced a box of snails from the fridge. I thought my daughter was going to say that this woman cooked and ate them, but no, she uses the slime on her face as a wrinkle cream!!!! Yeeragh, yeeragh and double yeeragh  . I told my OH expecting him to express disgust as he doesn't like creepy crawlies and makes a big fuss abut spiders, but he said oh yes Gok Wan had some face creams on that had snail slime in them.

I post it here in case anyone wants to use it, but it is DEFINITELY NOT one for me.

I must confessed I have used snail cream before! Not straight from the snails as above but it's a massive thing in Chile - they have these huge snails the size of grapefruits in all the departments shops to entice you! And it really does leave your skin very smooth.

I saw this and the woman in question also built herself a swimming pool which collected all the rain water, think she put the guttering into it, and she, and family, swam in it (sometimes 3 times a day). She also does her washing in it meaning she doesn't need to have to have showers. or use a washing machine.... def. not for me. But the she said her gas and electric usage was £27 per year and £6 per month respectively...that bit I could handle! :D Def. taking it way to far for me.....

...is great for removing the 'best before' & 'use by' dates from jars....I should explain!

My DH is pranoid about the dates on stuff and would throw away perfectly good stuff. Eg. I was given a load of jars & tins of stuff by a friend who was moving house. Some jars were open, others still sealed, for example new jars of mint-sauce really close to their date. Now as far as I am concerned, mint-sauce is preserved in vinegar, so as long as it tastes OK then why worry about the date? DH threw away the used one in the fridge 'cos it was a month or so over - GRRR! - so I used a bit a nail-varnish remover and wiped off the date on the one in the cupboard, this is now in the fridge and he hasn't thrown it 'cos there's no date!

As this worked so well I've done it on a couple of other things - he did ask about one the other day, so I put on my 'innocent face' and said - "well, if there's no date on it then it must mean that it'll be OK for ever" - how awful am I?!?LOL

I also have printed off in LARGE LETTERS the definitions of 'sell by' 'use by' and 'best before' and stuck it to the fridge - as we were forever bickering about whether stuff was still OK.....
