I then went to Sainsburys to get their Basics Cornflakes which I think are the best tasting Value cornflakes anywhere. They are made in Poland and usually cost 29p for a 500g pack. Today they are 49p, I was horrified, that's a huge increase but I suppose it's inline with the other stores.

Tesco cornflakes a few weeks ago when I bought were 29p for 500g, noticed they were 44p a few days ago or so, just checked after reading yours that they are now 49p :-(

I usually buy Asda Smart price 3 pack 200ml fruit juice for my son to take to school. It usually costa 43p but this week went up to £1.43. I thought i was seeing things,so got price check. How can theyjustify this increase. Their own Asda brand is still 69p, so i think they are just out to catch people who don't look at price because they assume smart price is supposed to be cheaper.
  • I may also add, Birds trifle mix 2 weeks ago was 85p with a multisave offer of 2 for a £1.00.Checked yesterday ....£1.40 each in asda.

I would say Asda as they have reduced a lot of the staples like bread, eggs, butter etc. I went to Tesco last night & they weren't matching the Asda prices, their butter was still 85p etc.

Can anyone tell me the best price place to buy Ginger Nut biscuits please?

People on chemotherapy are adviced to eat them to take away the nasty taste in the mouth. I have been making them, along with ginger cake but wanted to get a few packets in stock.

I saw this in the national press y'day! I managed to get 2x grapes,2x toms,1 bloomer. I didn't need anything else but I saw that they had everything in stock that was advertised as I did my shopping. They were restocking as quickly as it was flying off which was good to see.
